Once you get your initial supplies and settled on some flavors and strengths...you can do your own filling. At that point, you can get your nicotine habit down to about 50 cents a day. Better than $5-10 for cigs.....
Oh, heck yeah... I can see myself spending A LOT in the beginning trying out different flavors and stuff... the hubby probably won't complain too much, since I won't be smoking....
@maxx is right. Once you find your flavors and nic, the urge to buy everything goes away
I have enough e-juice for a couple of months, 6 batteries (reg and XL), PCC, passthrough, car and wall chargers and *thought* I'd settled on flavors. Then i just had to try a few new flavors (super bowl sale), and then order the XL case (valentine sale), and a couple of other flavors etc. i really really have enough for a few months. I hope there are no more sales coming up- unless the 30 ml size juice is available soon. I know I'm a magpie, and am learning that I'm a hoarder...but I'm still spending less than I did on smokes.

Please consider carefully. Those concentrations diluted even 2:1 or more can kill you.
Nicotine is not a good drug to get "stoned" on. In reduced concentrations we can observe that by the nausea, headaches, hypertension, etc. that we experience just by smoking too much. It's self-regulating in low concentrations (you get sick enough you HAVE to stop), but in high concentrations it can get away from you fast enough to cause permanent damage very quickly.
Don't forget that nicotine is used as a rat poison commonly in some regions of the world...
Even improper handling can get you. It's readily absorbed through exposed skin contact, mucus membranes, etc.
I don't mean to be preachy (well, not overly so), and I'm sure you know what you're doing - but there are others out there that will be applying for a Darwin Award...

lots of things can kill you. without brave experimenters we would never have the advances we have today. Imagine the kind of VK we would have today is we didnt have the Dark Ages. I wonder when we can get different shapes for uor VK's too. Instead of just a battery/pole shape. Can a battery be shaped in different ways or does it have to be cylindrical?
Batteries can be shaped like a potato if you desire - and have a nail and a penny. Non-cylindrical batteries have been built for, arguably, thousands of years.
No - we don't need "brave experimenters" where nicotine toxicity is concerned. Those experiments have been done for decades and there are plenty of dead animals to show for it, and more than a few humans killed by rat poisons.

Don’t sweat it max every thing can be dangerous as there are loads of diy sites out there and if you look in posts even here you got peps mixing juices here too all be it from bottles they got at v4l and in low mg but the word is caution and make sure what you are doing and ware the proper ppe's when working with any chemical and do it where no kids or animals will be exposed and clean the area and supplies when done and bag the trash to dispose of properly just make sure not to go over the recommended mg of finale product recommend you keep it at 36 or below but some have used 42 but not recommended
i guess the fda is going to put a ban on pen caps next because of all the people and little children who chew on them and sometimes they swallow little pieces and choke. You contribute a lot of great information on ecigs and your concerns are justifiable, but your argument is surprisingly ignorant. Your answer appeals more to FDA logic than anything I have said.
