I am in the same boat. I bought some kayfun clones from fast tech and am dreading trying to build on them. They were shipped today.

A couple of years ago I got a 'rocket kayfun clone' from fast tech when kayfuns were were the hottest thing in town. The rocket came with a built in coil and I Vaped it with much enjoyment.

The flavor was amazing but when that coil failed I put it away and haven't used it since lol. I didn't even build one coil on it. What a slacker I am !
I like Kayfuns.

Watch this video. It's basically exactly how I do it except I use the jig to secure the first lead as well as the second. It's quite easy honestly. I do 7 wraps of 28ga Kanthal @ 2.5mm diameter. Comes out between 1.3-1.4ohms every time. That's higher than a lot of people like but it works perfect for me and I don't even have to think about it anymore.

I wished I liked Kayfuns. I bought a Heatvape Kayfun v3.1 and I never got a coil mounted in it. The post holes cuts wire and the screw heads are just too small to capture wires. Plus it comes apart into like 30 pieces and it will be tough to fill. So I moved on to much easier to use rebuildable devices.

Yes they do have post holes. They just clip the wire when you screw them down. The screws are just too sharp. Plus the deck is really tiny to work with. Other devices only takes me a few minutes to rebuild. But Kayfuns would take me hours to rebuild. Just not worth while for me.

While I have moved on to Aromamizers as my favorite, the one thing I really liked about Kayfuns and Taifuns was that I could do vertical coil builds and pack around the outside of the coil. It was like a carto on steroids.

I have a new clone KF Mini v3. It works fine. But it's heavy as hell and IMO more fiddly than rebuilding the ELeaf GS Air coils.

The GS Airs have brass threads that won't last as long but they're also cheaper. Buy more.

Having premade ready to use coils is nice too. Also no need to keeps spare o-rings like you need to do for a RTA.

For a Tootle Puffer like me, I prefer the GS Airs.

Yep. Thanks for pointing that out.
Not a problem.I found out the hard way haha,so i figure maybe i can save a few people a bit of money. When i first heard of rayon, all i kept seeing was people saying cellu-cotton,so i went to sally's and picked up a small box that said cellu-cotton for like $4 or so,i didn't see the 100% cotton part until i got home haha.

I have (2) Rockets going into my Vapocolypse collection. Basically the same thing. I pulled the original coils and built my own a few times, then grabbed several(6 total) Kayfun(CLONES) as prices Dropped and rotated the Rockets out. Will keep them for very nice backups Tanks. (Rockets and Kayfuns);)

What works best and you can use to help the steeping process along
(I emulsify and my juice is ready to vape as soon as it's chilled) is an ultrasonic cleaner.
I've been meaning to buy one but haven't broken down yet because
I found I could get it done with a crock pot and magnetic stirrer
but it would come in handy as an autoclave for bottles and flasks.

I just stick my glass bottles in the crock pot at 150 degrees for a half hour.

Never thought about cleaning them in the crockpot. I actually am cooking dry beans in mine right now. :D

I did this once, before I discovered the Orchid, which can't be built vertical. Now that I have converted back, probably ought to play around with that-- was nice. So happy atm.

Just ran to my local Sally's on lunch to pick some up. I don't know why but I was looking for a rather small box LOL. This thing is huge!
Yep. If you bought the 3lb box, someone figured out it would last about 150yrs, if you rewicked daily.

There is more than you can use in.one lifetime.

You can always sell 10-20 feet at a time to vapers who want to try Rayon.
