Everyone who is saying how easy peasy it's gonna be to catch all this vape gear at the ports needs to go to Google Earf and scope in on the Port of Los Angeles...

Bruce in Ocala, Fl
Pffft...

Look at the Newark port in Newark/Elizabeth NJ.

Every container gets scanned in and out. Every container!

With terror alert colors clearly displayed at the entrance.

Guess how many containers I've seen get turned around after the scanner in the dozens of times I've been through there.

Goose egg.

I won't comment on the many lesser secure ports I've visited recently. (Which happens to be ALL the other ports I've visited.)

Customs consists of private facilities outside of the port...

Where predetermined loads get taken to depending mostly on their country of origin and second mostly on the customer or carrier the load was booked for or through.

LA ports are under specific scrutiny right now for several reasons. Allowing their carriers to pay their employees as private contractors to screw them out of benefits, insurance and possible unemployment benefits not being the least of which, but is getting the most press coverage right now.

I truly feel that in order for us to be successful in fighting this atrocity, it will have to be done on several fronts simultaneously.

Johnson
Courts
Congressional
Our Voices

Add them all up and you get a powerful message across to those that think they can roll over and flatten us.
I truly believe our atrocious atrophy as a group has ...... away all but one of those options.

Hence Johnsons statement.

For the same reason I buy Health/Life/Auto insurance. I hope I never need to use any of those, but having the insurance mitigates my risk. Stocking up is just another form of insurance.
fair enough ! We all need to do our own analysis. I will wait a few months to see what all my options are before i "stockpile', should i chose to do that. :)

I do not Stock Pile!

However I have always been a bit of a Hoarder and have a lot I don't need.
As for Vapor products, I have built and keep a Reasonable inventory of Necessary items on hand.<Better in house than in need>
The only single Item one could say I am Stock piling is Nicotine, however in my Defense - Deep Discounts in purchasing price lead to Overstocking. ;)

I already have enough mechs and wire to last me a lifetime ! Didn't think of it as stockpiling at the time of purchase though, it was just a case of " ooh that's cool " and " oh look it costs 50 % of what i paid for it three months ago, i should get two more, and on and on" Haven't used a mech in more than a year, but they are there just in case ( although i don't anticipate needing to use them )

If you expect me to believe that his only authority over the matter is to let the current suits progress or even for his committee to File one, that's not going to happen. I feel Very Confident he and his committee have Way more authority than that.

He absolutely did not say a court case is the only outcome for this. His answer was ambiguous.

But I do agree it's the Smart answer. I think the date for ID's is 12/31/16? I certainly think that the odds are very high that some court will issue an injunction to stop that before the end of the year. I certainly assume that Halo has asked for that specific injunction in their lawsuit.

What did you expect him to do, go through the entire list of what he and his committee plan for the FDA over the air??
Bruce in Ocala, Fl

FYI- The date for ID's is 08/08/16 here is the calendar
Dropbox - VTA Guidance - Deeming Compliance Calendar - FINAL.pdf

Guess they better hurry.

I do stock pile on items I like that I find at bargain prices. I've blown more money on much dumber projects before. Peace of mind has a value to me.

As it stands right now, I have 4 new in the box Kanger Mini Platinums in addition to the one I use.

Stockpiling....hoarding....whatever you want to call it, I call it free market.

I just know one thing, I'm not going to be caught with my pants down especially when I can get this stuff on sale now. I also know that in 6 months, that platinum box may not be found as cheap as I've been buying them for, so why wait to spend more.

YMMV

I vape aerotanks when out and about and kayfuns at home. Love the ease of just swapping coil heads in the aerotanks. A coil lasts a week of exclusive use. My wife wanted me to buy her a 10 year supply of kanger heads. A $500 investment in cheap heads isn't the smartest play and rebuilding those dual coil heads in no easy task.

Building coils for a kayfun on an $8 coil jig is super easy. And a good coil lasts for months. Re-wicking once a week is as easy as changing a kanger head.

I like many love the convenience of just unscrewing, tossing, and putting in a new one. But if we really do get screwed as bad as the regs imply, learning to build a single coil tank is much easier than when I first started doing it. Coil jigs do the work for you and many rta's are designed with simplicity in mind unlike years ago when it was an art form. Now it's just a mapped out process and requires almost no fiddling or worries.

It's to the point now where the hard part is getting the wick right and not wrapping the coil. Once you figure the wick for a specific tank it becomes second nature. I'm a simpleton builder and can do it without thinking about it. It's worth learning considering what we may be facing

I never got over my love for aerotanks and protanks in general. An Evod, protank, aerotank mini on an ego twist or evod twist is still what I reach for if I am heading out somewhere in the car, in shops or at work. Being most a NET vaper who likes to vape NETs between 8mg and 12 mg, this setup is ideal for me on most days.

At home, after work, I like to dapple with clouds and sweeter and Savoury flavors. 40-80 watts is normal in tanks like the Starre, crown Uwell and the Smok Sub ohm tank (not the tfv4, the one before it which is still in my opinion one of the best tanks on the market).

I have at least 10 ego or evod devices, probably 100 dual coils and about 100 of the single colls which are the ones you can easily build on.

Making sure I have enough stock for mouth to lung vaping with NETs is easy. I am already stockpiled. It's a different story with my sub ohm devices which I am sure I would use up all the coils within a year. But that is what the rba base section is for!

Been DIY'ing since 2012. For now, I'm just stockpiling 100mg nic and talking with my friend who owns a mill and a lathe. He must know someone with a CNC. :)

Just to clarify, we are a Representative (or Constitutional) Republic, not a Democracy. The Constitution and Declaration of Independence don't even mention 'Democracy'. Please do more research and understand more about America before you make statements like that in the future.

To go a bit further, the side I happen to disagree with isn't the 'Democratic' Party, but rather the 'Democrat' Party...which are drastically different in today's political climate.

I think you are getting caught up on semantics. Is America not supposed to be a nation of freedom, enterprise and minimum government intervention? Do you know why the Americans sought independence from their British foes?

Does it matter, in context of my post, if, in a technical sense, the American political structure is a democracy or a 'representative constitution'?

Would you dispute a claim by an observer not from the U.S. That this climate of spying on its citizens, FEMA camps, the Patriot Act, he intervention of government in business affairs and personal privacy, and the privately owned consortium of wealthy international investors running the Fed Reserve is not constitutional ?

In any event, the U.S. Is a democracy. Democracy is the cornerstone of the U.S.

I happen to know a little about, not a great deal, but a little in order to appreciate some of the underlying spirit of the American Dream and spirit to be a country of the free and a beacon of shining light on human rights before it became the current tyrant it is in the Middle East. I happen to know about the great wisdom and economic principles that emanated from presidents like Andrew Jackson, George Washington and that great great man Thomas Jefferson (my personal fav president of the U.S.).

You vote in a democracy. Election campaigns are done in a democracy. Leaders are supposedly chosen by the people in a democracy.

How come no one in these threads can say six simple words;
"I don't know what will happen."
Instead, a lot of folks in these threads are waving their meat swords around, passing it off as knowledge and clairvoyance.

It's entertaining for sure, but also rather telling.

"ENGUARD!!!!!!!"

I don't know what will happen.

But then I don't know if the downtown elements are every gonna riot if the food stamps get cut either but buying guns and ammo seem prudent.

I will be prepared....

And so will I to an extent that I have enough to last me until I take that dirt nap, or, I'm off of them.

In any case, once I am completely 100% off cigarettes, I will do my darndest to never go back.

I did get some Kanger Subtanks as their horizontal coils look as easy to rebuild as Protank coils. Besides the RBA deck, you will still have those options down the road too!

I don't know what will happen. What I do know is that the deeming is LAW, and that is fact that no one can deny.
