Technically all bamboo fiber is rayon. What is the rayon beauty coil made from?
No clue, other than "rayon". Never saw Sally's specifiy the source. I have used Tencel Lyocell brand as well, and I think they advertise it as wood fiber.

Northern NJ native , Coastal NC now.
I only use Koh Gen Do. Since I have LOTS of it and am happy with it, I'll stick with it.

I have also used just about every wicking material on the planet including Ramie but Rayon is a great wicking material , it does last much longer than cotton and stays white even after repeated use.

The only thing that matters most to me is overall taste perception and i find Rayon no better than top quality Japanese cotton in that regard .

Of course this is just my personal opinion but it definitely does blow cotton away in longevity.

Forgot about Ramie, @BJ turned me on to that one, I liked hemp better at the time though.

Edit- cellulose means plant, but is it wood fiber by chance?
"Cellucotton is the New Cotton. CelluCotton is a synthetic form of cotton made entirely of rayon. Rayon, in the simplest of explanations, is made of cellulose from wood pulp"

I just learned that I could get free shipping if I bought $30 worth of stuff from steam crave.
Red, blue & black replacement tubes, 3ml topcap conversion, more 2 hole bands, another SC t-shirt, yes another. I got an XL the last time I ordered from them. They're Euro sized so my muscular ex-carpenter body almost fits but not quite. XXL this time.
Damn useful haul for $30

Last time I got $18 of stuff with $6 shipping.
Wish I knew about the $30 free shipping them.
Perfect excuse to get more stuff.

I have basically a lifetime supply of both rayon and cotton and agree with you. Yes, rayon may last longer but from a performance perspective for the majority of us, good cotton is cheap, easy to work with, and performs wonderful.

I bought a 180 piece bag of MujI organic cotton pads from amazon for $8.50 and that equals well over 1,000 wicks. I love both cotton and rayon but many of us can be completely satisfied with good cotton. This thread is being read by thousands of people from all skill levels. The ease, performance, and economics of cotton is praise worthy. Amazon will carry it forever.

I have plenty of silica on hand that is basically useless. That was the latest and greatest not too long ago. Lol. Cotton destroys silica. Rayon only edges cotton. Many would be satisfied with silica if they haven't been building on their own for a while.

So what are the thoughts on Echowool and ReadyWick from those that have tried it? I have a like 20 feet of each but have not tried it yet, I thought it might be good for tiny coils in my Driver/Sofia and maybe the kayfun. I also have a lot of braded and regular silica I bought once upon a time in a co-op.

To me, Ekowool was just a clean silica. Not a lot of difference. Depending on which you had, Ekowool's braiding lent to possibilities though. For example I used the hollow braided stuff as a "sleeve" for other wicks. A sleeve around SS mesh back in the day worked well in Gennys. I think rayon or cotton is a better choice though.

I got a couple of orders in at Fasttech. (I like splitting them up) and an order in at MFS. I need to buy a few more things. Well, don't need to, but I am wanting one of the new colored Picos and a eVic VTwo :D

I've been using TC only lately. I'm trying to decide whether I should try to sell my K-box Minis and put that towards the Pico and Vtwo or just hold onto them. I have a lot of old random stuff I want to sell off. I've been Verified for a long time, but have never posted in the classies. Guess I need to try. I just never know what to list stuff for. Most of what I see over there is higher end stuff. I don't have any of that.

I picked up a colored Pico Kit at Ecig last night. Came with the matching Melo 3 for only $30 with their 20% off sale. That Punisher for $16 is a killer deal as well. Oh, and the IPV D5 for $30 and ....... yeah it can get out of hand quick. Could be one of the last holiday shopping vape deals though :(

I figure we will have lots of big sales for the 4th of July.

Yes, probably so. Had some better than expected this past weekend though. Lots of really good mods for $25 and under out there.

I matched or beat most BF sales that I have participated in the past 6 years this weekend. Who knows what kind of stock vendors will e carrying by July. They may be well stocked, I don't know. I am set for the long run though.
