I have purchased some of the top fill tank sets and when I use them my STM leak out the airholes. :( I do not get that with bottom fill tops on the same base.
Thats because bottom filled tanks gives you a vacuum that helps prevent leaking.

Every single top filled Atty i have used has PEED on me.

I would avoid the clone bell caps on fasttech..

Two issues.

1. The tibde that goes info the rba or coil head is too big.

2. The bell cap leaked like crazy.

I have found the bellcaps that I have purchased from FT for both the STM and Kayfuns to be great, I have not had any issues leaking or otherwise with either on authentic or clones, I use them on a daily basis.

I have used The FT bell caps for the Kayfun lite plus, Kayfun Monster Mini V3 without an issue.

The STM bell cap was a real problem child. HATED it!

I actually quit looking for the perfect topper for me when I found the SMOKtech ARO ll. It is a single coil bottom fed clearo. I think I have enough of them to last for the rest of my life specially since I have only had to toss one since I started using them a couple a years ago but how can I pass up a sale where I can get them for about a buck 50 with the sale that is going on over at GotVapes right now. summersavings gets you 40% off everything but e-liquid and if you sign up for their newsletter you get an extra 5% off your total order. The thing is, they are already marked down to a good price so the coupon is just icing on the cake.

I am having a fight with myself. The devil on one shoulder says, go for it and the Angel on the other says, you have more than you will ever use. The coil heads for these are so simple to rebuild and I have a ton of them already so am good to go there. I also have one of each color of the mini Trophy tanks and several of the mini davides they sell and they use the same coil heads.
I have igo-w's and igo-l's for drippers and a couple more RDA's and bunches of pro-tanks. I am a low watt (10 or less) , MTN (mouth through nose) vaporer and use 1.8Ω coils. I have the battery holder end taken care of and if push came to shove Hubby can build me what ever I might need in the future. I have all the nic I could ever use with bunches left over but my weak spot is the toppers I love. I just counted my ARO ll's and I have 35 of them already. It is a mixture of all the various colors.

I am wondering if I am ever going to feel completely finished and prepared for whatever happens
If you have your list and are not in need of anything else more urgently. Then, have fun with it! This has been such a stressful situation. A little colorful frivolity is in order. Double your stash!
HE made me realize I was too focused on practical and not enough on piece of mind.
You've got a smart hubby.
I would Always suggest doing what one Feels the Most Comfortable with when it comes to DIY.

For Me, I like to Dilute 100mg/ml Nicotine Base into what I call "Pre-Mix". And that is roughly 6mg/ml 10% PG | 90% VG Unflavored. I'll use either a Scale or a Graduated Cylinder to do this.

That way I don't have to Constantly have to work with 100mg/ml Nicotine Base

Then to make Flavored e-Liquids, I take the Pre-Mix, pour some into a 60ml Bottle and then just add Flavoring and Sweeteners via a Scale or Drops. I end up with a Flavored Mix that is around 6mg/ml and around 15% PG | 85% VG.

I found early on that I Didn't need the Accuracy that Syringes may yield. Because I Couldn't taste the difference in small variations to the mg/ml or Flavorings. And there is Much less to Wash by using a Scale and or Drops.
I haven't even started using my 100 mg/ml nic and won't for a long while. I'm still working on my old 36 mg/ml nic. Then I have a liter of 48 mg/ml to work through.

Yet, I do the same thing. It's just so much easier to pour only 2 things in when needed, pre-mixed nic base and flavoring. Done.

Nothing wrong with Buying/Mixing with 36mg/ml or 48mg/ml. Or any mg/ml less than or equal to 100mg/ml.

The Only reason I Bought 100mg/ml was that the Shipping was Less. And it leaves more room for Fish Sticks and frozen Lasagna.

I like higher concentrations because less freezer space is needed.

It took me a while to work up to 100 mg/ml. The fact that it's the size they always put on sale helped. But, also taking 3 times the space for 36 mg/ml?! I don't think so.

another email I received in response to writing to my legislators-he does not say exactly where he stands on it

Thank you for contacting my office regarding H.R.2058, the FDA Deeming Authority Clarification Act of 2015. I appreciate hearing from you and I am grateful for the opportunity to respond.

H.R.2058 was introduced by Rep. Tom Cole (R-OK) and aims to change the grandfather date on the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act by allowing e-cigarettes and vapor products to be remain on the market instead of being subjected to a new approval process after the FDA deemed e-cigarettes as tobacco products. Should this bill pass, all currently approved vapor products would be allowed to remain on the market without going through the pre-market approval process under the new tobacco regulations.

Currently, H.R. 2058 has been referred to the in the House Energy and Commerce Committee. Should this or similar legislation come up for consideration in the Senate, I will be sure to keep your thoughts in mind as I consider my vote.

Thank you again for contacting me. Please visit my webpage at http://isakson.senate.gov for more information on the issues important to you and to sign up for my e-newsletter.

Sincerely,
Johnny Isakson
United States Senator

Way back in the beginning I also purchased 36 mg nic for DIY. I wasn't purchasing liters at a time back then. When I did start buying 100 mg I always mixed down with PG to 50 mg before putting in my freezer. I much preferred pulling 50 mg nic bottles out of the freezer to work with. Now that space has become as issue ;) its now goes into the freezer as 100 mg nic.

I just discovered I'm perilously low on 100mg nic base...

You are Correct. A Drop's Volume depends on Size of the Dropper and the Viscosity of the Liquid.

Drops are actually Very Accurate from Drop to Drop. But if a person uses a Different sized dropper from batch to batch or using the Same amount of Drops per ml for say VG as for Flavoring, that is where the Problem occurs.
Don't forget temperature... as it affects viscosity.

Me too but 100 mg/ml is as hot as I really want to fool with since I am horrible about safety precautions.

I am the same. I have no interest in screwing around with higher concentration than 100mg.

I am safety conscious enough to wear glasses and rubber gloves when I break down litres of 100mg, but that's about it. I mix on my kitchen counter on a couple of paper towels. No big messes this far. :thumb:

I also like 100mg NIC as I can do the math quickly in my head. Not that other concentration levels are difficult, but a 30ml bottle of DIY @ 6ml = 180ml of NIC, which is 1.8ml of 100mg. Easy peasy. I don't even use a calculator when adding NIC.

You were unlucky. My Kayfun 4 (clone) never leaks (OK, it leaks sometime, but because of bad wicking). And of course tanks that use "upside down" filling (Subtank, Tayfun GT2) never leak at all.
