Once you find a favorite device...

ONLY after you find one or two e-cigs you like...

BUY a LOT of CRAP for it (them)!!!!!

Get replacement parts people! LOTS of them! Borrow $ from whoever you hafta borrow it from and get a LOT of spare parts!!!

Ok.. people keep complaining that they hafta go back to analogs because their atomizer is a dud or their battery blew...

NO MORE WHINING!!!!

If you want to make excuses to go back to killing your lungs... don't bother.. we don't wana hear them. If you just feel like having an analog... go for it.. no one is stopping you (but they taste pretty rancid after vaping for a few weeks).

There is no excuse... if you do your homework... and read these boards... you can see that you need extra parts because these things are essentially diposable!!!

How many atomizers should you have? At least FOUR (4) total.

How many batteries? You should have 3 at least... 4 if you are a heavy vaper because one of them could get fluid in it or just suddenly stop working! (2 is okay if you have MORE THAN ONE device).

You should have at LEAST 2 different types of e-cigs cause (as noted so brilliantly by someone else today) if you cannot get replacement parts cause someone is out of them.. you can always try to get parts for the other (but you won't have that problem if you follow the above instructions!!!!).

Now stop reading the boards and go to work so you can make more $ so you can get all the spare parts you need and stop whining like little sissies!

(I gotta follow my own advice.. I hafta go back to work!)

PS... sorry for the harshness... but you will thank me later! LOL!

I'd just add: always have at least one spare batt, a spare atomizer and a couple extra carts or a small bottle of juice on you. Always.

I get 8-10 hours off my Screwdriver on a charge, but I still carry the extra battery, and even if I'm on a new atomizer I still carry a spare. I buy juice in large bottles but have a 10ml bottle I carry with me at all times for topping up. When I buy atomizers I buy a handfull at a time. If I hav two working attomizers, I know it's time to order more. When I buy carts (I buy dry carts and fill 'em myself) I buy loads of 'em.

The moral is the same as the OP: if you don't wanna be tempted beyond reason to buy analogs, always be prepared.

Back before all these customs problems, I ordered a penstyle usb passthrough, an atomizer, a pack of carts and a bottle of juice from bestecig.com That was my first ecig.

When I realized I liked that style ecig, I bought 2 starter kits. Right there I had 4 batts, 2 more atomizers, more carts and 2 chargers (people rarely think of getting extra chargers but trust me, they come in handy to keep up with charging the batts).

I later ordered a 5 pack of atomizers, a 5 pack of batts, some more juice and a couple more chargers. I also ordered 2 more passthroughs.

My point is...for less than $300, you could actually "make" 10 pens....get plenty of juice....and blank carts ($7 for 50). And you can do the same with other models there like the 901.

I know there's now the problems with customs and all but my point is, users really do need to think ahead....because we never know what's going to happen. And it doesn't matter which supplier you use, just get the stuff. If a supplier is out, go somewhere else. Do what you gotta do so you don't run out. Yes, you'll be glad you did!

I so totally wish this was made clear to me when I purchased my first e-cig. 1 year warranty, you kinda assume it won't fail in a week... grr. But yeah excellent advice and it's good to drill that home.

After vaping for a week even the idea of analoging just SUCKS. It's a hard concept to grasp especially for people who have never tried vaping (I will admit I didn't believe it until it happened to me!) but yeah... eciggys rock, I don't ever wanna look back! :D

Good point Spikey. The ole 1 extra atomizer and a bottle of liquid just doesn't cut it anymore. The demand is increasing greatly and that along with the fear of the shipments being held at customs times are a changing.

So, the new suggestions should be more along the lines of what you posted. Of course, for a first time user they might not like them so stocking up wouldn't be feasible, but for the addicts in the house you should certainly stock up for at least a months worth of supplies at a time. Trust me, you don't want to be left out in the cold. It's not a good feeling to be at the bottom of your stash :).

I realized that having extra batteries and atomizers won't do me any good if my charger goes dead. Going to order one in my next shipment. :sneaky:

I have 2 models of e-cig (4 total in the household) so I am not as worried about that... but I think I will buy a USB charger for my pilot once they start making them!

If you are starting out just buy another complete kit or two.

I am in the UK and dont know if US prices compare .
As far as the kits are concerned it used to work out cheaper to buy a kit for £28.50 than buy a rake of spares, especially if a charger is involved.

Purchased seperately.
1 Charger - £9.49
1 Battery - £8.99
1 Battery - £8.99
1 Atomiser - £7.49
10 Carts - £3.45
Total = £35.41
