It's funny about the "too expensive" comments - not that smokes AREN'T expensive. When I started smoking, cigarettes were around $0.50 - $0.75 a pack from vending machines. I recall when the late wife and I both swore we'd quit when cigarettes went over $2.00 a pack. Then $3.00 a pack... and so on.

I'm certainly NOT saying saving money isn't a valid reason to quit - it's just not mine. I quit for me, not for my wallet.

Same here, and it looked pretty expensive at first, when I was still buying cigarettes. But just as soon as I stopped buying them... suddenly there was all this money that was never there before. :D I'm pretty modest in my needs and desires, but I do like new shiny things, and I'm saving so much money not buying cigarettes (or even ejuice, since I make 99% of everything I vape), if I shop around for good deals, I can buy new shiny things now and then -- it's fun. :D And dragging ourselves out of a terrible financial hole is fun too, in a different way. :D

I admire your restraint, I have the impulse control of a four-year-old with a Platinum card, lol.
