Those are awesome pdib! I've always wanted to try and make my own too. I've got some black walnut and deer antlers that I think might make some cool tips. I just need to get The Evil One on board for a lathe purchase

The Evil One found one for around $240 somewhere online, but didn't tell me where. I don't think she trusts me

My 12" disc sander is a shop fox. Given it's price, I've been very happy with it. Very good price to quality ratio. Nothing amazing, but definitely good enough.

It looks great on that "touchwood"! I'm glad it found a good home (he said, picking a little baby boll weevil from between his two front teeth).
Haha! They say those dark flecks are seed bits from the manufacture process but ya just never know. I've not seen any legs or antennae yet but I'm keeping a sharp eye for um'.
