Any fans of Open Source Vapor? I placed an order but want to know what to expect. Prices seem really decent of PG free organic juice, though I do question the wisdom of listing the recipes for anyone to copy (on the other hand, I've learned some really interesting tips should I choose to get back in to DIY again).

Open Source Vapor LLC – Welcome

i just ordered a few days ago and am super exited to try them! Their transparency of ingredients is very impressive to me when so many places refuse to even tell you the PG/VG ration even! Ironically, High end vendors are actually the least transparent!

YES they are, impossible to find information.

My order just came in. While I haven't tried them yet (waiting to re-wick my Fogger), they smell unbelievably amazing. Tinted glass dropper bottles to help preserve the flavor too. I need to hurry up and finish vaping the crap that is currently in my Fogger and try these out. After receiving (and smelling) the package, I have a really good feeling about these.

Unfortunately, no. I never cared for soda vapes (except the occasional root beer) and the thought of warm coke isn't very appealing, but I do think I will try Toka Cola on my next order.

I ordered Twisted, Vanilla Chai, Crunchberry Lemon, and Orange Tic Tac.

I've had a pretty good & realistic tasting cola before.. Unfortunately there was too much PG in there for me, and they don't do custom blends..

But with natural & organic ingredients in VG??

I'll probably have to try theirs at least once.. Maybe a few other flavors, too...

When I need more juice, that is.. :D

Let us know how they are after a fair steep!

After a week, the Cruchberry Lemon is really good. Kind of like a gourmet cereal and very much like crack. I normally can't handle too much of a sweet juice and have to give them a break after a tank or two, but not this. Definitely needed a week of steeping though. The Orange Tic Tac, I think, needs a little longer to steep but I will be trying it again soon.

Haven't tried the others but I will definitely be ordering from this place again.

I'll probably never order from them, too many choices with the flavor shots, viscosity, etc, you really don't know what you're getting when you spend the money, atleast that is my experience with vendors who have a hundred different options for one juice.

Sure you do. They have an option for tanks and an option for drippers. You make your selection based on the atomizer you are going to use. The reality is, when you aren't given these options you never know what you are getting.

What if the thick is actually what I prefer for my tank, and the thin is too thin? And how do I know that the juice won't be too sweet with fifty thousand extra flavor shots? I'd rather buy from VCV or something of the like who make the same product every time and I know it's good.

I don't see it as a big deal, in this case..

Might even throw like 25 bucks his way someday...

So how is VCV's version of cola, BTW? ;)

How does one know VCV is the right consistency? They are extremely expensive if it doesn't work. $65 for 120ml is a bit ridiculous. I'd rather order from a place that allows me to make small tweaks so I can get the perfect juice for my needs, and if I don't get it right the first time, I'll still be saving money in the long run.

Stock up during sales & that 120ml drops to 50 bucks.. :)

DIY'ers might scoff at like 40 cents per ml, but still not bad for pre-made juice that's pretty tasty...

(Not to mention the free samples & upgrades.. Did I mention that I'm able to cut my VCV flavored with less expensive unflavored at 50/50, and still get good flavor with my set-up?)

Anyway, I might be wrong, but I wouldn't count on Open Source's prices to stay where they are..

And as long as they don't cheap out on flavor strength (i.e., make you pay more for what's typically normal strength), I see nothing wrong with juice-makers offering blend customization...

For those who have tested... how's the throat hit ?

Throat hit is decent. Much better than most PG free juices, however, I am wondering if it's going to be stronger when I try the thick option.

If you want a PG free juice with boatloads of throat hit, check out Vaping Zone's 100% VG Juice (they also sell juice with PG just so you know).

VG E-Liquid VZ USA 100%VG - E Cig eGo, E juice, Mods, Cartomizers, Liquid Nicotine, DIY Flavorings

The throat hit can be intense with their juices. Again, Open Source seems to have plenty of throat hit with the right setup (i.e. not a Protank), but my early impression is it is not as strong as Vaping Zone's (which can knock you on your ... with a rebuildable).
