So I want to get a new APV, one strong enough to really utilize my kayfun Lite to its full potential. Currently I have an MVP 2 and while it works, I can't really push my KFL to the level I would like. I have gotten lots of feedback on the high end APV's and I do want to get either a hana modz Pack V3 or a Reo Grand. Unfortunately I have to wait a little bit before I can drop the $200+ to purchase one. What I want is a reasonably priced VV/VW APV to tide me over until I can pick one up. I read about the Smoktech Groove II which can get up to 15 watts. At $60 it looks like it could be what I am looking for. However, I can't find many folks that have reviewed it. Does anyone have any feedback on this device. Is it decent and quality enough to tide me over for like 6 months or so till I can drop the serious cash on a really high end APV? As always, all feedback is appreciated.

The reason why it probably doesn't get much attention is because the Version 1 had a very, very bad problem. It uses an internal battery, and the case was designed poorly, causing the battery to short out and cause a very dangerous thermal runaway. (like, set your house on fire for real bad)

I'm sure Smoktech wouldn't have the balls to release a Version 2 unless that issue was all sorted out. The problem is the damage has been done to it's reputation on being marketed or accepted me thinks.

If you want reviews, just check out ones for the Version 1. I'm sure it's probably the same thing chip wise, just with the internals fixed to not be a fire hazard.
