Anyone have any experience with this mod? Thoughts on the touch button?

I would be looking at maybe the Precious-S or Precious-M

I am just starting to explore the idea of getting a mod, and I want something similar in size to an eGo or possibly smaller. My understanding (which may not be correct) is that the mods use batteries that are safe to use with LR atties? I know people use LR on Ego and 510, etc... but from what I have read around here that is not recommended.

Open to suggestions of other mods to look at too in this size range.

I stumbled across this site: E-Cigarette-Mods.com which seems to have a nice listing of ones to check out.

So far ones that have caught my eye are the GG line, Precious line, and Precise line

Thanks!

Good luck getting a precious! The SuperT P16340 is a awesome(and very small)piece of vaping hardware.
You may also want to look at the Icon by puresmoker,it's all mechanical, and you can use lr atty's on it(same with the P16340)
And both are available-You will have to wait if you order a P16340,but it is well worth the wait IMO,faultless fit, finish, performance,
and with the stainless steel,a lifetime warranty.

If your going for LR, I would recommend the precious-M over the smaller 10440 precious-S or you may end up with less battery power than your ego (actually I am sure you will end up with less usage time between charges)
the 14500 is a good battery another unit that I personally keep looking at is the Icon which Tango did a great review on his experience with http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/electronic-cigarette-reviews/149368-e-cig-feng-shui-icon.html

Some people say the 14500 is put under a lot of stress at LR vaping but I normally don't go lower than 2.0 ohms and have not had a problem with it on my madvapes box mod...even with a cisco 306LR...that being said you millage may vary...I do not recommend the 10440 for it though.

I use an L and really like it.

Really like the touch sensor.

I have rubbed nearly all the nickel off and it is usually in my hand.

I agree with Goldenkobold, an M would be the smallest I would go because I do like the LR's.

I have read a few folks having problems, but besides getting the sensor covered in PG, I've never had a problem. (I now carry a wet nap with me just in case I have this problem again so I can get it cleaned up and working perfectly in very little time, but I haven't needed it since that one day.)

The Precious' are hard to get but people love them; I love the mods I have (GGs and GLVs), and I have never owned any precises. I would recommend not going with too small a battery, you will be disappointed with the length of charge at some point, I would get a mod that can either stack batts or take an 18650...........:)

If you want a MOD that uses 18650 or batteries you can stack and it is going to be your 1st mod. Take a look at the Roughstack at MadVapes, nicely built and consumer serviceable. For the price it is a nice first step into mods before you become like the rest of us with say 20-30 mods. It is about the same size of the Precious L, but it has a top mounted switch, does not go off in your pocket as easy as others can.

I was looking at the precious but what's making me hesitate is the long waiting list and with a mod with so many functions, how dependable is the warranty?

Not advertising the precious itself, but I have heard many great testimonials on this forum about super-t and the work they do with their customers.
