As far as opinions on VT's nic.

I'd put it in the elite class. It's only the second one I've tried that I would put in such a high classification in my mind.

It does lack throat hit though. Not a good selling point to me, but the clarity and flavor-less-ness are above the good nicotines in my opinion. (For those who like the classic nic taste, I would suggest looking elsewhere.)

The price point is outstanding for the clarity and lack of flavor though, so that makes it darn hard to ignore.

Yes Sir ! Did you notice that the overall mixes don't darken up as well ? They stay clear for me. Even in the sub tropical heat. :)

^^After reading everything about Vt in a couple threads, that there has me very intrigued! I thought darkening was a natural process because it nicotine. How can it not darken and stay clear?

The flavors do add some color, but will not darken like the mixes we're used to. My guess is that there is no suspended matter in this U.K. nic. I've always tasted a hint of tobacco with all my other nic bases. My conclusion is that nicotine is actually tasteless.

'Just got our VT nic yesterday and mixed up a batch of my all-time favorite Dulce Fuego (steeped it for 4 hours @150 as usual).

We had just made a batch with NN two days ago (it's been the "main" in my daily rotation for months).

Two fresh tanks; two fresh heads/coils - side by side comparison.

Glug, glug, glug.

That's the sound of 54 ml of Dulce Fuego made with NN going down the drain.

***

We started DIYing with ECX (very satisfied), but heard so many good things about WZL that we got some of that. WHOA! This is NOT "tasteless" at all - it's very nic-ish and will only be used for some tobaccos. Over the months we'd ordered several times from ECX and WZL (all 100mg/L, all VG based). The ECX was very consistent; the WZL was all over the place in nic-flavor intensity.

Then we found NN (good thing, cuz reports were that ECX changed sources and totally sucked). We were blown away at how clean, odorless/tasteless the NN was, and how it allowed the flavors to shine through. We even lowered our flavor percentages on some recipes.

We're not yankin' anybody's winkie when we say we dumped the NN version of my ADV down the drain.

I. cannot. vape. it.

Yes, the very same liquid I vaped 2mls of yesterday now tastes so incredibly "dirty" that I truly can not vape it....and hubby agrees, he wouldn't/couldn't vape it either.

So a new batch of one of his original 'mainstay vapes' is now steeping. It's a nasty "cig-a-like" that we always make with WZL.

We'll let you know how that one compares as soon as it's done.

:::looks over shoulder at dozens of bottles that we were getting ready to remix at a lower saline percentage made with NN & WZL:::

I'm vaping my first batches with VT nic, along side identical batches made with my usual WL nic. They're all VG plus plain water at 20mg/ml nicotine strength, my favorite familiar recipes.

First I saw VT is totally colorless, no tint of color at all. My latest WL bottle is pinkish, though other WL bottles have been light shades of other colors. VT and WL are the same viscosity. I can't smell anything sniffing the VT nic, and just a little scent from WL, not that I have the keenest sense of smell.

I'd always assumed the occasional nose-sting from giant plumes was due to using high nicotine, but I'm not getting any of that at all from the VT nic. The VT is totally smooth, very gentle on the throat and nose.

My recipes seem overflavored. I use fairly light flavoring anyway, but I've had to dilute the VT-nic-version of these testers to use 20% less flavoring to get a matching flavor level with the WL-nic-versions. So at least initially, I'm getting a stronger effect from my flavoring with VT nic. I'll have to experiment and see if the 20% holds true with other flavors.

I'm not about to dump anything down the drain, but as I vape stuff I've already mixed with WL, I'll make a batch with VT to do a side-by-side comparison. I don't keep a lot premixed, so it won't take long to get through them all.

After using WL and a couple other sources, which all seemed very similar to me, I was skeptical I'd notice a difference with VT. I'm a little surprised it's so noticeable! I think the smoothness will be great for all my dessert and mild coffee recipes. I'll post again after I've experimented more.

I made my go to everyday vape (A prime clone) with VT NIC and did a side by side with my old mix. The burst of flavor was kinda over whelming that I had to say to myself "So this is what it really taste like" the flavor was so smooth with no harshness or burning in the back of the throat. I was able to taste every subtle undertone which I could not taste before. There was a natural sweetness to the nuttyness of the tobacco which I had not experienced as intensely before and a large boost in a mosey fruitiness which before was just a minor subtle note. The only drawback to this NIC is it has less throat hit then what I'm used to but I think I can get used to less. I also have to agree with the above poster and several others who mentioned that they will need to cut back on flavoring. I'm thinking 10 - 15% less would be good. I'm looking at my old mix trying to decide what to do with it now because after vaping this I have no desire to finish the old. And what is worst is I have 3 liters of old nic in the freezer that I don't know what to do with. I may just have to use it for my stronger tobacco mixes or sell it off to someone who likes a hard hitting, strong tasting Nicotine.

I'll be getting some VT soon. I can't wait to do these side-by-sides! I've disliked any peppery feel and if I'm reading right, I won't have it with VT which will be awesome:)

/\ This. This right here is why I don't order any from VT. I have 3L of 100mg in the freezer and I just can't toss it.

AAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH

How does RTS compare?
I have two liters of RTS I bought last year. VG version. It tasted okay for tobacco mixes when I first taste tested. It's been sitting in the freezer (3/16/13). I did take some out recently and it has a metalic type taste. I have been vaping ecx older nic now. I find the RTS unacceptable. I have to restock because I thought those 2 liters would last. I do have other nic as back up.

I will buy a sample of this nictoine. I see VT has a ton of flavors screaming>>>>add to cart. :)

Wow. Awesome reviews. I had to order some and it will be here tomorrow! I can't wait to mix some new IW batches and see for myself. May also have to venture into the unused TFA and FW as well. I have 450 ml. coming and from what I've read, may have to put in a second order already. I still have about 500-750 ml. of MFS in the freezer....I may have to make room for the VT.

How about steeping? I didn't see much on this. Is the steep time considerably reduced, the same, not necessary? (I don't do tobaccy flavors, mostly fruits and some creams for my wife)

Add: I JUST got a promo email from MFS for 20% off nic. heh heh.....No thanks.

That's a shame to have to throw out anything:( I have vg based nic (not from them) but some from WL and MFS in my freezer and now I'm thinking I better get some out for a test.

I wonder what give the metallic taste? Has anyone ever had PG or VG go bad and what's the description of the "bad" ? Do PG or VG have short life and or maybe was on the verge of going bad when it was mixed by the supplier or whatever?

I plan on a sample order. I don't usually buy nic base in VG. On a brighter note: I have plenty of nic for insect control. I don't plan on throwing out. I'm just not vaping it anymore.
