Ordered my first e cig. I decided to go with a Joye 510-t system. Reading reviews some people say it burns through e-liquid quickly, also some people say the batteries run out quickly, other say they do not. Can anyone tell me what problems I need to watch out for (like leaks), warning signs of malfunction, or anything like that? Also ordered 15ml of %100 percent VG juice from Velvet Cloud Vapor in Ice beard Menthol flavor, that stuff sounds so tasty I can't wait to try it. Any feedback appreciated.

Reviews are just guidlines. Most people don't review a product unless they love it or hate it. You usually wont hear the vast majority of people content in their purchase. Any problems will be fairly obvious to see. If it leaks, you will have juice in your pocket or on your hand when you vape. If the battery breaks, then the joye wont work. I'd say don't stress until you have a reason to. If a problem does arise, I'm sure we can figure it out for you.

I love the 510-t atomizers for dripping. I never liked their tanks. But, I've read that they can be made to work quite well.

What batteries come with your kit? I assume 280 mah or 320 mah. If so, you're going to need more than 2! Those will last me, at most, 2 hours each, which is fine if you're sitting near a charger, but not so great when you have to be away from a charger all day.

Looks like a good kit; price is steep for a cigalike type; batteries don't last forever.

On the other hand at only 5 cigs a day, it might keep you going for a couple years.

I've seen youtube videos of people vaping with the Joye 510-t and it seems like it takes a long time to draw on, or the draw is very stiff. My friend has a medium sized e-cig and it's almost like sucking through a straw. I hope the 510-t is easy to draw on.

Which batteries did you choose? The 60 mm or the 90 mm?

xCJack, the 510-t is easy to draw on. The only issue is that sometimes the airflow to the tank might need to be opened up a bit to make sure the tank feeds juice fast enough. The atomizers themselves are great!

60mm------

That's good and bad. The good? It's closer to the size of a real cigarette. The bad? That would only last me about an hour. But, I was a heavy smoker and am a heavy vaper.

Either way, I would buy spare batteries (as soon as you try it out and make sure that you like this type). The little 510 batteries are being phased out in some places and should be easy to get cheap right now.

ETA: Cignot is where I bought my 510-t kit. Their starter kit is $35. Their PCC kit is $45 (but only has ONE battery). They do have their spare 280 mah batteries (about 80 mm long) on Clearance Section 2/$20 or 3/$27. But, of course those are longer and won't fit in the PCC that they sell.

Mad Vapes has the shorter batteries for only $7.99, but only in black.

When are you expecting your vapemail?

I'll have to see how much I use the thing. Worst comes to worst I'll order the 90mm batteries. Also I'll have to see how fast I go through juice to see if I need to order cheaper liquid, lol. I need to see how long the whole setup in general lasts me.

I vaped 510-T for a while, my second kit actually, before moving to ego type batteries. They can be a bit finiky, but no big deal. They work well, the draw might be a bit stiff, but not too bad, it's kind of needed to feed the atomizer, since it tends to airlock the tank due to the thin diameter. High VG might be a bit of a problem for you, you might want to add a few drops of distilled water to your bottle of liquid when you get it to thin it out, not much, just a few drops will do you.

One thing I can tell you, after a few draws, tap the atomizer with the side of your finger to help the air bubbles to go up the tank and the liquid to help get to the spike.

Last thing, get a deedle tip bottle to fill the tanks, if you constantly take off the caps of the tanks to fill them, you will break the seal and they will leak like crazy.

That's about all I can think of right now, enjoy!

The VG liquid I bought is advertised to be pre-thinned with distilled water. Thanks for the other pointers I will definitely take them into consideration.

One more thing I forgot to add, congratulations on your purchase!!!! The first kit is a big deal, and I think you picked a great starter kit. I think you're going to love it, just don't get discoraged if you run into any dificulties, after all, it's not smoking a cigarette. Feel free to PM me if you need any help with it at any point.

Some guy just gave the 510-t a bad rap on a thread I posted on another forum, here is what he said.

The atomizer set up is ludicrous. Basically leaks juice constantly. Doesn't Vape evenly and hits really funky. Your gunna have very juicy fingers until you get a new tank. Luckily the 510-T series comes in multiple battery sizes now.. If you got the bigger version then you'll be able to fit tanks that are female threading on there. Otherwise you'll bounce around between smaller cartomizers that are shotty at best for a few months before getting frustrated and upgrading to a entirely new set up.

I sell these things for a living not trying to be a ****. I carried the 510-T system for like two months but disliked it and stopped carrying it at my store.

How do his sentiments hold up with other consensuses?

That's strange. I never had mine leak, not at all. Now it might feed juice too slowly for you. But, if so, you can adjust the little side air channels to make adjustments.

'tanks that are female threading'? What on earth is he talking about. Tanks don't have threading.

'you'll bounce around between smaller cartomizers . . .'? That makes no sense. The 510-t is an atomizer. It can't take cartomizers.

Maybe this is the key: 'The atomizer set up is ludicrous.' Maybe he doesn't like or understand atomizers or cartomizers. Maybe he's a clearomizer guy or an RBA guy.

Either way, if what he says makes no sense, I wouldn't worry about anything he says. Just enjoy your new set-up.

He recommended Kangertech EVODs and Protanks, also iClear tanks by innokin, and AroII tanks

All clearomizers!

Clearomizers are great because you can see how much juice you have left and don't have to fill for hours, just like carto-tanks. But, clearomizers are actually more finicky than atomizers.

I'll be honest about it. Most people, especially when new, tend to prefer clearomizers unless, like me, the really prefer to drip. Each clearomizer has its own special problems. But, they're great if you take your time and get to know them well.

I just prefer the fuller flavor of an atomizer. And, dripping is the most foolproof method to get juice to a coil! If your tank doesn't feed fast enough, you can adjust the little side airflow holes, or you can do what I did - remove tank, add a couple of drops of juice, replace tank, and vape.

I can't find the thread anymore. But, there was a thread I read when I was thinking of getting my 510-t where a few people were raving about it and they told me about exactly how to adjust the airflow. I'm sorry I can't find the thread for you.

I've always preferred dripping, so I never bothered to even try any adjustments. And, the 510-t is one of the best pre-made atomizers for dripping. Much better flavor than a regular 510 atomizer.
