Just placed my order for the Riva 510 lite and got some juice to go with it. What else if anything should i get, the list of stuff on Liberty Flights site is information overload. A quick list of what else and why i need to get would be great. I ordered some PG and some PG juice to see what works better for me. I comes with 10 blank carts is that the same as Cartomizers if not what is the actual difference and what is better? Thanks for the noob help...

No a cartridge attaches to an atomizer.

A cartomizer is a cartridge and an atomizer in one. Many people prefer them.

I recommend getting a few packs of cartomizers. The Boges are popular and work well.

If you already placed your order you can get them from Crystal Clear vaping and they have free shipping,
They have the Boges and also sell the "Ressurectors"

I would def try the Ressurectors, they work great on 3.7V PVs like the Riva, E-Power, kGo.

Does your kit come with an atomizer?

If it doesnt I would get one.

I use the Ressurector cartomizers, but still keep an atomizer or 2 around to test juices.
You dont want to put a juice in a cartomizer you havent tried yet bc if you dont like it then your wasting cartomizers.
An atomizer is good to try juices and then when you know you like one, fill a carto.

I would also recommend to get a drip tip to use with an atomizer to test juices.

510 Drip tip
More juice from elsewhere
Cartomizers
Spare charging Cable (or 2 spares, one for home, one for work)

Optional - precut blue foam stuffing for replacing used cartridge stuffing (see strictlyejuice.com and search for foam)

---
Re drip tips - simple delrin and clear plain plastic ones will often also fit in Boge cartomizers instead of the endcap. Makes a nice mouthpiece, easy to check the stuffing or add juice (remove to add juice). Gotvapes got in some pretty vase shape ones and so far only the marble finish ones have fit in Boge cartos. Smaller than the fancy Cherry Vapes Ming drip tips but at least these fit in Boges.

Cartridges - OK for learning to vape and extended tests of juices, or juices that are thicker than you want to put in the cartos

Drip tip - try new juices, vape occasional juices

Cartomizers - I highly recommend Boge 510 cartomizers for starting out with cartomizers. The 3 ohm are just warm and easy to learn on. The 2 ohms are hotter and what most prefer.

Only use cartomizers for juices you plan to vape fairly often. In simple stuffing cartos like Boge I prefer juices that are PG w/ 10-20% VG, and I avoid juices that seem to drop a lot of flavoring sediment (shortens the life of cartomizers and gunks up atomizers). I can get 10+ days use out of a Boge if I keep it damp with thin clear juice.

-------
Some other handy items if you have never vaped

Small bottles for bringing juice with you (after you finish some juices you will have bottles but I still found uses for several each of 3ml and 4ml bottles)

Unflavored 0-nic PG - good for getting the primer out of atomizers, vaping the flavor out of an atomizer between testing juices, etc

A good plain tobacco juice and a good sweet vanilla juice - these can help rescue juices you don't like

Welcome! The Riva Lite Bundle from LF is a fine kit. It comes with 2 atomizers and 10 unfilled cartridges so you definitely need liquid. A useful addition would be a 510 drip tip for the atomizers to allow dripping - handy to test new liquids. Also good would be a pack or two of Boge standard cartomizers. You could opt for a pack of low resistance cartomizers also but best to start with standard, 2.7-3.2 ohm cartos till you get the hang of using them. Not hard at all, just a tiny learning curve...but well worth it.

Depending on how much juice you got (plan for 4-5ML a day to be safe), you are good for the first week or so, no need to order anything right away. Cartridges can be frustrating to use, but don't sweat it as you won't use them for long (few people do).

Right now you want to be figuring out what juices you really like -- order some 5ML samples. Once you've found one or more, then it's time to move onto cartomizers and fill 'em up with your favorite juices.

Drip tips are great, but not entirely necessary. You can get by with the mouthpiece that comes with each atomizer for the time being.

It all makes a lot more sense when you are holding the Riva in your hand. Have fun, and congrats.

I agree with HeadLikeOrange. You should def get some sample packs so you can try a bunch of juices.

I like vendors that let you pick your own juices for a sample pack. BlueMist Vapor has a hue selection of juices, 250+, and great prices. $5 for 10ml and $10 for 30ml. I wouldnt buy big bottle though until you know you like a juice. You could waste a lot of money that way. They have extra flavor shots for .50cents more. And if you find a juice you really like you can get a 180ml bottle for $30, which is an awesome deal.

Goodluck and Welcome to the world of vaping!!

I concur with what has been said. You can try out the attys that come with the kit, make sure you blow them out really good, otherwise you will never forget that flavor.... but I would also recommend the Ressurector from CCV. You can pick up a 5 pack for cheep. If you order the 15 packs you get a free drip tip and syringe as well. I also have a Riva and an Ego-t with no tank lol, but the ressurectors are great. I also personally like boge LR carto's on my riva's as well. I would also say even tho its not a requirement, A drip tip or two is nice. I have sevral and it is now how I "color code" my cartos. Also, dont forget juice! Samples are key. Want2vape is the only place I know of that sales 3ml sample packs, (there might be more, but I dont know of them) and other places have sightly bigger sample sizes. I would say get some samples from a few different venders b/c some venders I just dont like their juices.

Re cartomizers - in simple stuffing cartos like Boge (the most popular cartos for 510-threaded devices) and similar cartos fro other models I find thin clear juices work best. I used to use 70PG/30VG but then accidentally found 80PG/20VG worked better and helped me get more good use out of each carto. I also avoid juices that drop flavoring sediment in the stuffing - sediment ends a carto's life early by clogging the stuffing and gunking up the coil (atty coils too), ruining airflow, hit, flavor. Dark, opaque, and cloudy juices are the ones most likely to drop sediment.

On the atomizer you can use any PG/VG. Most people like blends. Most hardware vendors don't sell blends. Juice vendors who make the juices on-site may offer your choice of several blends.

PG - thin, lets through the most flavor, the most nicotine hit, the most nicotine irritation
VG - thick, dulls everything PG lets through, makes thicker more persistent vapor

On atomizers I like PG w/ everything from 10% to 60% VG. But in cartomizers I stick 10-20% VG - just for ease of use and getting good reuse out of my cartomizers.

Mega LR 1.7 ohm 510 carto, for 3.7 volts only, Awesome TH, and Vapor production is off the chart. If you like the Boge 2.0, then you'll love these with nearly double the juice capacity, as with all carto boxes a free syringe and needle is included, only way to insure the carto is filled to capacity, elimitate all guess work in filling, 0 mess.

batt info: 100 mah= 1 hr Vaping time before recharge. Best not to let the batts discharge below 25%- they'll last longer.
Your 650 mah batts should last 6 1/2 hrs but minus 25% = recharge after approx 4 1/2hrs.
The first fill for Cartomizers is VERY important. Make absolute sure they are full saturated otherwise they get a burnt taste and/ or fail prematurely. Always keep them wet with the top of the stuffing having a slushy look.
Before filling your cartos ALWAYS shake the juice beforehand. Some prefer the syringe metho, some the drip method and others, like myself, the condom method. I suggest you experiment and find what suits you best. Sometimes best to prefill a number of cartos, place condoms on them and allow to sit overnight. Regarding driptips I find some give a much different vales according to the size of the opening. Vaping is truly a personal experience and through experimentation most of us have found our "sweet spot".
Good luck, Vapoor.

The instructions, I found, were not very good. I had to keep coming back here and asking questions! I just started vaping on Monday :)

A couple of mistakes I made; the cartridge that came on my Kgo was blank! I didn't realize it, and tried to use it. Take that one out, if you got a blank. The other thing I had a problem with was the battery. Not sure how yours works, but on mine, I had to press it quickly 5 times to get it to work.

Like someone else said, the Ressurectors will come with a syringe to fill with. Their are other ways to fill, but I find a syringe is the quickest and easiest way. The Ressurectors are big and hold 2ml of juice so it takes a lot to fill them. Thats why I recommend using a syringe with them. And like someone said, the first fill is VERY important. I find that the syringe is the best way to ensure its done right, but you can fill them anyway youd like. You can drip into the top of them or use the condom method too. I find that the condom method doesnt always work well though with big cartos like the Ressurectors and the drip method can take awhile because you have to wait for the juice to settle to the bottom, and if you dont wait long enough for the juice to settle you can potentially singe the wick and ruin the carto, so be careful if you drip into them.

I wrote this in another thread for someone who asked how to fill a Ressurector with a syringe so Im gona copy and paste it here.
Like I said its up to you but I find this to be the easiest and quickest way to fill the Ressurectors.

How to fill a cartomizer with a syringe:

"All you have to do is take the dropper part of the bottle off your juice and fill your syringe with 2ml for a new carto. Take the rubber tip off the carto and carefully insert the needle down the side pushing against the metal. DO NOT go thru the filler because it will move it and you could potentially break a connection and your carto. Slide the needle down the side and go all the way to the bottom. Then slowly start dispensing some juice. Dont dispense it all bc then it won't be evenly distributed. Put alittle in, then take it out and insert the needle in a different spot. I normally do it in 3 spots (in a triangle) I found it distributes the best, but you could just do it in 2, on opposite sides. Make sure the needle is at the bOttom bc then you will not have to wait at all for it to settle. Disperse slowly and you will begin to see the toP of the filler become slushy. It is full then, don't put more. If its a new carto is will def hold 2ml, if your refilling it won't take a lot so pay attention and once it gets alittle slushy stop. While your filling hold a napkin or something under the carto bc if you do it too fast a few drops will come out the battery end. If that happens its only bc you did it too fast and the poly fill didn't absorb quick enough.( that happens to me bc I am impatient and fill it in about 10 sec, so I just hold a paper towel or napkin underneath.) wipe up the drops and put the rubber cap back on the carto. Then put the carto between your hands and rub back and forth spinning the carto quickly. This will insure the liquid is evenly distributed in case you put too much on one side from the syringe.
Now you have a perfectly filled ressurector that is ready to be used right away!"

They dont come with instructions on how to fill with the syringe so I hope this helps. Id recommend at least trying it, and then if you dont like it, you can fill a different way. I know it seems alittle intimidating, but its very easy and youll get good at it quickly. The first fill is def important so I would at least do the first fill with a syringe. Then for refilling and topping off you can just add a drops in the top if you dont love the syringe. I fill and refill my Ressurectors with the syringe that comes with the Ressurectors and I find that syringe to be perfect for filling cartos. When they are filled right they normally last longer. Ive been using the same Ressurector for 4 and a half weeks with one juice I vape regularly.

Goodluck with it!
