I want to support american companies too. The problem is the markup is too high and if the gov't keeps adding more regs and taxes to businesses it will get worse. These products originate in China and seems as though they are the only ones hungry enough to innovate. I refuse to pay twice as much then add on tax and shipping.

For those that have ordered from eliquid.cn.. do you HAVE to sign for the package or is there an option for them to leave it in your mailbox?

They just left it, Im in a secure bldg but didnt sign for it,they did not specify to sign for it or not , Id say not by default

Ignorant prejudice rears it's ugly head, again.

I don't know that I would call that "ignorant". While not all of the Chinese vendors are producing bad /dangerous juices they're are most definitely some questionable quality control standards overseas. So being cautious of what you're putting into your body seems pretty reasonable to me.

I wouldnt order juice from china unless i had it lab tested. They will do anything for a buck.

Based on the definte poor quality control standards in this country that have led to severe sickness and death, it would be just as accurate to state that you should never buy eliquid from a US supplier unless you had it tested in a lab, if you follow his so-called "thinking".

It is ignorant to condem an entire country based on issures in unrelated industries.

well most of the pv you use are chinese except for the real pricey ones, the liquid until recently all came form china; and still does in a good amount as well as flavorings. I do believe that the have better quality control than a lot of us sellers that mix on home made labs. besides that i do think that taste wise, artisan american juice could be a bit better than Chinese.
there should be more quality control in huge high tech facilities (china) than re purposed rooms

not saying that china's are better but don't underestimate them

I want to support American local companies whenever possible. I know that part of my motivation for quitting was financial, but I'm already saving so much on vaping, I don't mind a little extra to help our economy. Heck, my local store saved my life, I feel its important to pay them back.

I hear you. I really do. I'm down in San Antonio and we also love the shop local idea.

Now having said that, my local B&M sold me a lovely tank my 1st week of vaping. Lovely little blue tank with a screw where you fill, chrome metal top and bottom etc. Yup, he sold me good alright: $70 bucks worth. Found the exact same tank online (USA vendor) for... wait for it... dun dun dun $14.99 and $3.- shipping.

Who do you think I'll buy from next time? huh?

Its not prejudice. Its my knowledge of there sub par production methods and there lack of qc.

Yeah it is prejudice, you just don't seem to understand what prejudice is. As I stated already: "Based on the definte poor quality control standards in this country that have led to severe sickness and death, it would be just as accurate to state that you should never buy eliquid from a US supplier unless you had it tested in a lab, if you follow this so-called "thinking". "

So unless you are willing to make the same statement about buying US eliquid (much of which is made in people's basements, garages, kitchen sinks), then your statement is definitely prejudice.

The person in this video is "Leaford", an early and longtime member of ECF. This doesn't prove that all production facilities in China are the same, any more than it would if we were watching a video of Johnson Creeks' facility and assume all US production facilities are the same. But considering that 90% of eliquid sold worldwide comes from China and there have been no reported deaths/sickness from using their eliquid, making blanket negative statements about their eliquid makes little sense:

With the shipping charges, possible tariffs/duties/taxes is it even worth the time and hassle to order anything from a wholesaler for personal use? It seems when you add in the shipping time and charges it's better to just use domestic suppliers and look for discounts and sales. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Ordering direct from China typically requires a large order to justify the shipping from my experience. I have placed a few orders and gotten what I expected in the past, but my needs now are minimal so I use co-ops and vendors who offer great deals. Some vendors offer new chinese products at low prices, and they bear the risk of them getting here and tariffs.

The new kid on the block, Fasttech, is somewhat different in that they offer free shipping that, from the feedback I've read, takes about a week. I'm going to place an order pretty soon myself.
