I had a horrible experience ordering from fasttech.com

Dont want to bore you with the details but basically after 2 months of waiting and not receiving anything I got my money back. Had to go through a PayPal dispute though because they insisted that even though they had no clue where my package was and if it even shipped they wanted me to wait longer to see if it just shows up.

I wish I could give them a thumbs up, I would like to buy from there because of their great prices but I just can't trust them.

Lots of my FT orders have been getting returned to them. They've been giving me full Paypal refunds as soon as they get it back.

Not just batteries, either. A Puritank, some coil heads, and most of the stuff wasn't HK Post either, but Singapore and Swiss post. No idea what the heck is going on over there these days.

Because FastTech sends products from Hong Kong (a free port), there is no sales tax or duties imposed by the Hong Kong government. Customers do not have to pay any sales tax or export duties when they purchase from FastTech.

Statistically, well less than 1% of all orders have ever got opened by the Customs in customers' home countries. If a package were to be checked by the customs office of the customer's country, customers have to cover for import duties, tariffs, and taxes.

Although the chance of packages assessed by the customs is small, FastTech encourages customers to check with their local customs office for potential import taxes, duties, and tariffs, prior to placing an order. In addition, some products may require special licenses or permits to import (such as high powered lasers). FastTech is not responsible for products confiscated by the customs in customers' countries.

Check FT's shipping policy.

"Import Tax and Duty are responsible by customers. FastTech marks packages as gifts with low values. Virtually all orders are exempt from taxes and duties.

If your country imposes high import taxes, please choose standard free shipping. Packages shipped via expedited service (Speedpost Global Express) are more likely to be opened and examined by your country's customs."

I've had an order held up now for close to 2 months, HK post has it, Fasttech had a note on their site at the top about orders to Canada, I've contacted them and they responded quickly, I've had no issues in the past with them, just seems to be a recent thing with shipments to us here in CA

But no, No duties on any of my orders from Fasttech.

I ordered from FT....kept it under 60$. Didn't buy batteries, as the above poster said, Batteries are tricky because they pose a risk in shipping on aircraft. Better buy your batteries from a Canadian source. Aren't that much more expensive. And yes...I have a trcking number with Singapore Post. ....which I'm going to check now.:2cool:
