what place have you had the most fun in?

I was just thinking about this and it's got to be Michigan, since I was born there and lived there most of my life! I've been to many places and there's nothing like the Great Lakes and Michigan is surrounded by them. Well, being a Peninsula, if there was one more body of water where the land is, both the upper & lower peninsula of Mi would be an Island! I remember all the fun I had as a kid with all my friends & family, the summers around all the lakes, camping, fishing, boating! Grosse Point Mi was know as the boating capital of the US, (per capita registered boat owners) when I lived there, don't know if that has changed now?

SS Edmund Fitzgerald was an American Great Lakes freighter that sank in a Lake Superior storm on November 10, 1975, with the loss of the entire crew of 29. When launched on June 8, 1958, she was the largest ship on North America's Great Lakes, and she remains the largest to have sunk there.

Had a wonderful time at Boldt Castle with the grandchildren last summer. I love going to Thousand Islands. My uncle used to be chef at the Thousand Islands Club, and I loved visiting him there, so going now is nostalgic. He lived in George Boldt's back farm. It was an amazing house, with a long driveway which had canals on either side of it. It was lined with poplars and reminded me of one of Van Gogh's paintings.

Now, all but a few of the poplars are gone, and there are developments there. The farm was sold, and you can barely see it through thick hedges.
