Question for experienced gennie users.... Do you dry burn?

I have adjusted my juice to tame the strong TH. I have noticed a performance/flavor drop about every 6ml or so. Coils are slightly carboned up. I have been vaping a tank almost dry and then dry burning the crud off. (Not something I was ever successful with in China atties) It has been working very well for me. Performance and flavor come right back and no need to break in a new coil.

Is this a genesis phenomenon or just the Orion?

How often do you clean your tank? I dont have an Orion yet, but with my Line v2, I rinse it out every few days by flushing the tank with the wick and coil still in it. I then dry burn it to get rid of the moisture. Between the rinse and the dry burn it keeps my coils relatively clean with no drop in performance except for a few minutes after I'm done cleaning. Riddle has a great video on cleaning the line and I'm pretty sure the concepts can be applied to any of these genesis tank mods.

Not cleaned the tank yet. I vape the same DIY flavor all the time. Also found out the board is sealed water tight, but not the switch. A little concerned about that. If it can be clutzed up, I will manage to. ;-)

Guys, what does it mean if the top coil where the last loop on the mesh keeps glowing everytime I press the button? Does it part of breaking in??

1-Too much wire between coil & terminal. Wrap wire as tight as possible without wick touching.
2-coil too loose on wick. You can try adjusting w/toothpick or re wrap.

I fold the edge of mesh about 1/8th inch ala Scubabatdan. Roll wick so folded edge is on the outside. Works great to keep those ends from sticking out causing shorts.
