Yeah, I looked for that. Seems that the stainless is no longer on the COV site and I'm not sure I have the patience to sand down that much glass..

Believe it or not, I've caught up on this whole thread..

Siam tanks work but need cut down I believe. 'tierrataz' used a metal one earlier in this thread.

I've got some cracks in mine so I need to figure "something" out pretty quickly, that'd sure be an easy answer if I can just cut it down, put a brushed finish on it if need be, and not worry about what liquid's going in there..

Rode through Roanoke Sunday heading south on BRP. Spare tank in the tour pack with the Orion and the Vaper... Coulda hooked you up, or at least turned around and avoided all the remnants of Isaac I rode through!

My only tank for my Orion 2.1 just cracked. This is my only device that I own right now. Does anyone have an extra tank or know where to get one? I would love to keep gaping this wonderful hybrid, but I'm totally stuck right now. Back to analogs until I can source a tank. I use a lot of cinnamon and menthol tanks, so maybe i will have to stop those flavors. Cheers! -

Sounds like you're in the same boat as 'Vapor2112'. The Vaperite Siam tanks may work and they're in GA... I should have extra tanks by sometime next week if all goes well.

In the meantime, I'd hate to hear you going back to analogs. Walgreens, and most gas stations, sell $10 disposables for a quick fix!

Well, I have had no problem "filling in" with analogs until I get sorted with my devices/batteries/juices, but I hate the taste of them. I really REALLY want to make this Orion work for me. I was using a Provari v2 with a Penelope and it was top notch. But I think the Orion, if I can get it working the way it did when I first got it going, will be the best I could ever hope for. I am still unsure as to the best dimensions to cut the mesh piece, whether the wire from house of hybrids is the best to use (I have some wire that is a little bit thinner, too), how tight to roll the wick, and I keep getting hot spots at the top coil and/or right where the coil makes contact with the positive post. I also need to find the original size o-ring that it came with because the ones I a m using are leaking. Whew! I can post a pic of my current coil stup if that helps. Thanks!

Most people like 25mm wide, I use 30mm myself.

whether the wire from house of hybrids is the best to use

They sell 32g kanthal (.20mm). That's the standby and what I use for gauge. You can always experiment w/ others later (or not)

how tight to roll the wick, and I keep getting hot spots at the top coil and/or right where the coil makes contact with the positive post.

You want the wick to where it fits not loosely or overly tight, just snug. Yeah, that's the common hot spot. Beyond oxidizing your wick properly, make sure the top nut has at least a couple threads showing. Otherwise, tighten the nut on the positive post down some. Also, make sure you're not too far away from the post or too close; ie. touching the nut. It's a fine line.

I also need to find the original size o-ring

M2 (2mm) SS Half Nut x2 ( 20 pcs x M2 2mm STAINLESS STEEL 1/2 HALF LOCK NUT FREE POSTAGE | eBay )
M2 (2mm) SS Washer x2 ( 60pcs x M2 STAINLESS STEEL A2 FLAT WASHERS 2mm hole | eBay or M2 (2mm) A2 Stainless Steel Washer pack of 50,100,250 or 500 | eBay )
M2 (2mm) x 6mm SS Screw x2 (Philips: M2 x 6 Pan Head POZI (DIN 7985Z) A2 Stainless Steel x 25 (115-124-25) | eBay - Allen: M2 A2 Stainless Steel SOCKET CAP Screws, Allen Key Socket Screw Bolts SMALL QTY | eBay - Slotted M2 A2 Stainless Steel Machine Screws Slotted PAN HEAD Screws | eBay )
Nitrile Rubber O-Rings 12mm x 1.5mm x2 ( METRIC Nitrile Rubber O-Rings 12mm x 1.5mm 12 ID x 1.5 Thick NBR70 Seal QTY 10 | eBay )
Nitrile Rubber O-Rings 12.5mm x 1.5mm x2 ( METRIC Nitrile Rubber O-Rings 12.5mm x 1.5mm 12.5 ID x 1.5 Thick NBR70 Seal x 10 | eBay )

Small o-ring (centre post)
Tore diameter (Thickness): 1.25mm
Internal diameter : 1.6mm

This was posted on another forum and here. There are other places to get them but those are the specs.

Can anyone with a caliper handy tell me if a 15.7mm ID tank will squeeze on a v2.1 by chance??
That's the confirmed dimension of the big daddy and lil' mama SS tanks...

I think if you use a thinner Oring, you should be able to fit it in...
