Hey Mac! Glad you tried the twisted coil. I find it amazing how peeps ignore the pearls Les tosses on occasion. :p

It's the only way w/fg wick IMO. Have not wrapped a mesh one yet, need to. Can't recommend the ear bud insulator on stock hole if you vape heavy. Too restrictive on juice and hot coils, ugh. Time to yank it out!

couldn't agree more. Best bang for your buck and a solid device.
I been playing with a loaned while mine gets here. I am getting excellent performance from this tiny device. With an 18350 I get 4 hours then switch the battery out. I want to make a post that adjusts so you can have the least amount of distance no matter how many or few wraps you do.all in all it is beautiful and at 202.00 its like getting a standard n a mini for less than the price of a zen. Just a smaller tank which imo doesn't bother me at all. Less juice to replace if I want to swap flavors. Plus it seems like.les has gotten way better at customer service. I think he was swamped. But unlike another one man pv maker he seems to be able to bring his pv's to market when he says he is.

I'm a flavor junkie. Two things that work great for me on my stock V2...

1-I dry burn my coil about every 4ml or so. I was never a proponent w/ attys but why not on a rebuildable? Really makes the flavor shine without all that carbon. :)

2-wipe out the condesated juice out of the cap every tankful. Amazing how that vaporized juice affects flavor!

Vape happy :)

Hey Bmays, just pulled my set up out to remove the blue ear bud tube...wicking sucked. Put it back in cuz Im not fond of breaking in coils. ;-) Took one turn out and it's metering 1.8 ohm. Maybe you can get below 2.0 with a thinner wick?

Mac, you've convinced me next time to try twisted wire. Love short drags like analogs.

Edit: the beast is performing great again, no hot coils, no shorts, and vapor rivals Mac's vid and it's completely stock. Vascillating again..... Drill or not??? Dammit:lol:

thinner coil would mean less wire in your wrap so ie. less resistance?

Woot Yellowman! No reason it won't be just as great as your loaner. ;-) Is that one modded at all?

Carry mine everywhere. Short mode on the road, long mode at home. Has anyone used a bit on mesh to plug the open wick hole in single wick mode? Did you find it affected draw? Looking for a leak solution. Maybe I used too much mesh? It was the bottom of a burnt out wick. I just bent the end over so I could get a hold of it. It did tighten the draw and slowed wicking though.

Ive thought of doing the exact same thing for another reason though. I like the taste of the vaped Liquid, however I get a LOT of taste from the juice in the tank if that makes since. It is a different kinda strong taste that I do not like at all. I wanted to plug up that hole a little and see if that help solve that.

I tried plugging completely with a carto ".... plug" and don't to that. She wont feed at all.

Maybe? To be honest I really like the ease of use with the Mesh and I'm kinda scared of the FG wick with some of the reports flying around here. I think Im gonna stick with the ss wick/coil setup BUT in all fairness, the wife got hooked on DeKang Desert Ship juice, I bought a TON, well like 270ml's and I've been using that too. The juice is really china ???? I bought some good juice from AVE, Virgin Vapor etc. only to find I cannot vape that much VG at all. Makes me cough like crazy.

If I had some GOOD PG/VG mix juice I may not have this problem at all. I wind up spending a ton of money trying juice to find it taste like crap, So for now, I've been sticking to the DeKang.....China......Crap:D

I feel your pain! Über picky myself so jumped into DIY PDQ. If you are getting too much flavor why not pick up some glycerine (vg) at a pharmacy and add maybe 15-25% to your dekang? Yes it Is China juice. Your nic will go down, but so won't the excessive flavor.

Me, couldn't handle the massive TH off the genesis, so mixed in more vg. Tamed that for me just fine. Hope you find your solution soon.

I have noticed that 24MG nic be tearing me up on a genisis. Dilute it down to 16-18 n its still kicks but is more comfortable.

Plugging the second hole is a big wicking nono, its like shotgunning a beer. Same principle. Flow doesn't come till u pop the top.

This is true however the Orion has a much larger second hole than the "other" Genisis rebuildables as it is made to accommodate dual wicks if one desires. My main gole was/is to reduce the size if the hole so it wicks properly and the residual juice taste from the tank does not come through in the vape.

With that said, I have dug out some juice that was traded to me and though the juice may not be my favorite, I'm not getting the "yuck" factor in the taste from the juice itself :).
