any tips on getting the tank off the orion 2.1? I dont want to pull too hard and mess anything up. Seems like mine wont budge, of course it is brand new. Maybe it will loosen with use
Remove batt, protect switch & run under hot water. To avoid future problems, lube the O rings & inside tank liberally with juice.

Do you mean Vape Pit? They changed their domain a while back, my old bookmarks no longer worked and then stumbled on a different link that worked and noticed the address was different.

Edit: Will PM you the link as ECF may not allow posting links to other forums.
Yeah, they came under DOS attack. Temporary addy is very alive & well. :)

I am having such a love hate relationship with my Orion right now. When it's working, man I just love it. Vaping this morning and I thought it was harsh, fine all day yesterday, fire it without the cap to check it out and the bottom coil is lighting up first, so there's a short. I try to move it with a needle and tear a small edge of the wick, so now's there's a small flap off mesh just hanging off between the first and second coil. It's definitely shorting now. So, looks like I'll re-wrap the coil.

With the tear in the wick, I think I need to use a new one. All I have are pre-rolled, pre-oxidized wicks from my Zenesis to use. The thing is, they are wrapped tight and are loose in the wicking hole, so the bottom of the wick touches the bottom of the tank, which I am trying to avoid. Wrapping the first wick and coil was such a headache because of this that I don't even feel like trying again right now. It's like suspending the wick off the bottom while trying to wrap it, and not get any shorts at all took me at least an hour.

Can I loosen one of my pre-rolled wicks to fit it tighter into the wicking hole?

I need coil wrapping and wick help....where's the dummies guide.

I also tried wrapping off of the device and then installing it, but it ended up being all loose, and it was a pain to try to get it under the ground screw.without ganking the wick all up.

How do you guys do this?

Will try it...Thanks tierrataz, you're always very helpful. I just grabbed some bigger paperclips from work....I think the ones I were using were too thin.

Yes, you should be able to unwrap those wicks. Straighten a medium paper clip to roll on. Re-oxidize. Leave paper clip in and slide wick 1mm up from bottom. Insert and coil.

Hope that helps. :)

Also good advice, maybe they wouldn't be so thick if you didn't make the wick turducken! Have you stuffed a third one in there yet?

(I'm just giving you a hard time)

You could also let touch the bottom and after coiling tug it up a notch so its not touching. Thats how I handled my thin wicks when I was learning, now I have a tendency to my them too thick. Go figure.

Okay. Now I have read all of June & July's posts. I traded for Lexi's 2.1 and it is winging its way to me as I type. I am looking forward to playing with this new little toy. I'll be around here a bit for the next little while, I suspect. Lots of good info here. Too bad about UK Vapers still though.

Decided to wrap a new coil....went off without a hitch.

However on my first step, removing the battery, I noticed the end closest the switch had juice on it, I took the center tube off and wipe it down and wiped best I could toward the switch end, removed more juice.

Is this normal, is there a fix, is it just part of owning an Orion to have to completely disassemble from time to time to clean out juice that seeps into the body?

Thanks
