Decided to wrap a new coil....went off without a hitch.
However on my first step, removing the battery, I noticed the end closest the switch had juice on it, I took the center tube off and wipe it down and wiped best I could toward the switch end, removed more juice.
Is this normal, is there a fix, is it just part of owning an Orion to have to completely disassemble from time to time to clean out juice that seeps into the body?
Thanks
No, it is not normal. Liquid getting down into the switch will have a detrimental effect on switch performance and if the liquid gets into the micro switch, possible failure. Ask me how I know
Les/Nosmoker now includes extra heat shrink and an o-ring I believe when he ships, in case users experience this problem... Anyways, I added a second o-ring (along with a little silicon) and followed Pailpoe's video for assembly to seal it better. It is in french, but easily understood. Taking the switch PV apart to remove the switch is also very easy. On assembly, DO NOT over tighten the lower M2 nut. I have had no problems with it since, and have checked for liquid getting into the switch by visual checks daily.
My friend got a new one (it didn't come with extra o-ring/heat shrink) and we verified switch worked with a Xmeter, took it apart and sealed it straight off with a second o-ring. Also, added a spot of glue to micro switch so SS button doesn't rattle (I use the glue from glue gun - which easily separates from the button for removal). BTW the epoxy sealer on his brand new switch was cracked/broken

, the switch worked fine though and we re-glued it with some gorilla glue as a fix. He has been enjoying his for a week now and apparently loves his Orion
