I've been mixing Blackberry with Strawberry milk 5%/5%
Lotta latte and Lucky Shot 5%/5%
I know no one likes to steep, but I'm finding 1-2 months steep increases flavor in these blends.
So true. I find that in all my mixes. Just because we can and do vape them early doesn't mean the flavors are finished yet. LOL

About the time I was lowering my nic strength from 12 downward, my one flavor mixes had gotten so strong in flavor that I had to cut them in half by adding additional pg/vg. Lucky for me both events happened around the same time. Now I know better. Can't hurry a good mix.

@VapeLuvr - I used to make another mix that Kimberly suggested to me. It's her version of Key Lime Pie.

TFA Key Lime @ 5%
Lucky Shot @ 10%

I made it in at least 50mL batches and sometimes 100mL. You just have to make sure you really shake up the TFA Key Lime before you use it making the recipe! I forgot to the last time I made it, and it was the most horrible mix I'd ever tasted...dreadfully bitter and nasty! Has been my only "down the drain" one since I've been doing DIY.

I have both those flavors, yay! What's the optimal steep time?
Thanks for the tip about shaking the bottle!

BTW, you're very lucky to only have had 1 down the drain mix! I have several due to me foolishly buying and trying too many recipes in the beginning of my DIY journey

Steep time? The only mixes I let age at all are those with custard in them, and a few that I let the EA evaporate out of before I vape them. Everything else, to me, is shake and vape! :D

And you're welcome for the shaking tip. I wouldn't wish that anyone else would have to experience that horrible, nasty, mix that I made...when I forgot to shake the KL before using it!

So that's what happened when I mixed up a batch. I didn't make such big batches as yours, but could not understand why everyone was raving about this. Now I know. Not sure if I can stomach another try but its good to know why it happened.

Mixed up some Strawberry Milk @ 10%, 3mg, 60VG, steeped six days, vaped it in a high-wattage dripper (.6 fused clapton single coil, 45 watts) and it tastes like...vitamins? Like when you take a multivitamin tablet, but it rests on your tongue a bit too long and dissolves through the gel coating and you taste the actual tablet itself. Yeah, that. Not very pleasant. How do you all enjoy your Strawberry Milk?

I like it after a 4-6 week steep

    Lower Wattage perhaps?

BTW - How much Sweetener and what kind did you use?

None. Should I? I have big bottles (well, 30ml's) of EM and Sweetener (TFA), but I don't use them very often. The recipes I've tried them in have not turned out very well, and the few "winners" that I have found, have not called for any at all.

Lowering wattage in this same dripper, I still get the same "vitamins" taste, there's just a lot less of it. All the way down to 20W where I hardly get any vapor at all. But it still tastes like vitamin-pill-flavored air. To be fair, it is "strawberry-flavored-vitamin"-flavored air, but...yeah.

Next up, I suppose I'll try it out in my MTL tootle-tank (KFL+) although, historically, I have always preferred unflavored in that tank over anything else I've ever put in it. And if that's still no good, I guess I'll shelve it for a month and see what's up.

    I Dunno?

Just seems like that would be a Flavoring that would go well with a Drop or Two of TFA Sweetener.

My theory is Ya Can't Break the Broken. So if it was me, I'd pull off a little and add a Drop of TFA Sweetener to it.

BTW - Adding TFA Sweetener doesn't require any "Steeping". It just Add, Shake n' Vape.

Anyone notice that Blue Note needs a really long steep? I mixed it up at 10%, after a day or two just didn't like it, seemed to have a very nutty taste. I left it in my mix drawer and noticed after about 4 or 5 weeks it went from a fairly clear juice to a golden color. Figured why not, so I tried it again expecting I'd end up tossing it, but it was now a really nice vape. I just didn't expect a single mix like this to need a long steep time.

Lower wattage. Flavors are just better at lower watts.

Blue Note is a blueberries & cream. Creams need some steeping.

When I first mixed it I though it was OK but nothing to write home about so I put it away for a few months. Stumbled across it in a draw recently and decided to try it and what a difference in taste, the blueberry creaminess really came out. Still not a steady vape for me but much improved over fresh. I'm not saying it's bad it's just not my cup of tea. For someone who likes blueberrys-n-cream they will likely enjoy this.

Now OSD's "sweet southern tea" is a different story, I've been vaping that for over a year and still can't get enough of it. It's still in my daily rotation as one of my go to vapes when I'm not vaping my usual tobacco vapes.
