In case you are even newer to vaping than I am. And if you are a little lazy with your vaping there is one thing you need to be careful about.

Put your PV "IN" your mouth. Not just the very end of it. If you just have it to your lips and on a little angle, you WILL burn your lip. OUCH! sheesh. It will hurt for a while too. Darn!

(sticky? LOL, or just add it to the "all you need to know about vaping thread". Nothing warned me about this.

Vapor temp is a function of two things: How many watts you are throwing into the device, and how hard you pull air through it.

Pull a bit more sharply, and you will get a cooler vapor.
Use low resistance cartos and get a hotter vapor.

There is a learning curve to this, your mouth has to figure out how to do this to get the flavor/sensation that you like. All in time.

I use Rubber Drip tips becouse they absorb the Heat very well. And i tend to chew on my tips a bit as i vape.

Where can I get a rubber drip tip for a 510 atty/carto?

I like the rubber tip on my ego smok cartos, but I have a rock hard acrylic on my resurrectors... kinda rattles on the teeth.

I think CaptJr is referring to the vapor being hot. If this is the case you probably don't have enough juice in your atty or cart. I will sometimes burn my throat if I take a big hit and don't have my enough juice in there. If your using the standard carts that come with most kits they dont hold very much liquid and the vapor can get hot pretty fast.

Rubber Drip Tips

Haven't tried these, but I've tried smoktech xxxl cartos that come with rubber drip tips, and I don't personally care for the feel of rubber. You might also try ceramic drip tips. I know I've seen them, but can't find a link for them now :p

The point was to make sure you get it in you mouth far enough that you could chew on it if you wanted to. Then the steam won't burn you lips. LOL

I have a shorty Volt that I clench in my teeth like a stogie for hands-free times (like playing xbox) and I've never been scorched.
I've also accidentally tried to vape the wrong end of my Volt and have never been scorched.

My eGo, on the other hand, with an atty, sometimes would get really hot around the silver band... but it wasn't near my mouth so I can safely say that my eGo never scorched me either.

What have you been vaping dude?
