Electronic Cigarettes | Starter Kits, Electronic & Vapor E-Cigs by Nicotek

It's a good thing they are carrying a brand of e-cig.
Both rechargeable and disposable!!

What bothers me is that they are following "Suggested FDA Regulations"
Among these- No Flavors.... Once again, For the Children.

Edit: I noticed they are a TVECA member- no wonder...if you click on their logo you'll find all kinds of information that we as vapors don't stomach well.

There's a grocery place near me that has been carrying kits for some time but they are way overpriced and they only sell prefilled cartridges for refills and they are really high too. You could buy three riva kits and some liquid for what you would pay there for one kit and a pack of carts.

What's a vaper to do when they start without the advantage of ECF's collective knowledge? So many people state in their first post that they bought one at a gas station and that's what made them Google until they found ECF. In that respect, starter Ecigs from retail sources get people interested enough to find out where the really good hardware can be found.

The more retail outlets there are, the more vapers there will be who join our ranks. I have to applaud retailers who carry the starter kits. I just wish they would do the research and pick a good kit to sell at a reasonable price. Profit margin can be found at all levels and China is full of import options for large retailers. Things will get better as more vapers show up at the corporate level in retail.

The ones I saw appear to be either 510 or 901 standard kits and are going for $100+. I don't know what the disposables usually sell for but I've seen some at local gas stations for $10. That seems high to me but if someone just wanted to try one then I guess it'd be ok. I found out about ecigs by accidentally seeing a short story on the local news about people using them. That was almost three years ago.

Is someone having an easy day today?

I think the ideal product for convenience stores would be a quality disposable. I've actually run into a number of people that have bought them and liked them, but usually go back to smoking when they die because you still need to search for stores that carry them. I've also found a lot of people with internet phobia when it comes to purchasing here. I always tell them to pick up a prepaid credit card if they are worried about internet safety.

Dave, I took a look at that link. I don't know how they work but that actually isn't too bad of a price for everything that comes with the deluxe kit. That's about what I paid for my first 510 kit years ago and it didn't come with all the power adapters. Someone could do a lot worse. They appear to be 510 batteries with cartos.

My first PV was a 510

I have to admit that from time to time ... I dig it out and vape it.
The 510 battery and 510 atty is a well balanced combo that delivers !!!!
Just no longer my main go-to PV ... But it is a heck of good unit (for what it is)
and would still recommend it to a smoker interested in making the jump
    but wants an analog appearance.

    Edit:
I was talking with my e-cig vendor on the phone the other day
and I said ... I bet ya don't sell many of the 510s anymore.
The reply was "Oh, we still sell a lot of them ... Many prefer the
analog shape and just buy extra batteries"

I still have two batteries and a couple chargers left for my old 510. I haven't gotten it out in a few months. The last time I got them out to see if they still worked and they did. However it brought back nightmares of constantly charging batteries.

Yeah, I think the Kroger ones are actually pretty decent at a price that's not outrageous. I agree that if this is what gets folks started off of cigs, then it's done it's job!! Still, I don't like their approach and that they are a member of TVEVA because it promotes the pen-stile, e-cig with cartridges to be the only e-cig that meets FDA standards (with no flavor too). I saw a few reviews on the Metro from their website and after their's was over, there were others- one guy saying it was a good kit but the juice was awful, etc.

I walked into a 7-11 the other day and the clerk was waiting an elderly gentleman purchasing a pack of Newports. The clerk asked, "Have you tried the electronic cigarette?" and showed him the products. I took this as an invitation to demonstrate my eGo C Tank model. The man stuck with his Newports but did say he would think about it....

My local 7-11 stores have a poster in the window pushing a special on disposable e-cigs. I didn't stop to look at the product, but whatever it is, it's on sale for $7.99.

I thought this was significant in part because these aren't your usual, junky-looking 7-11 stores. These are brand-new stores, built and opened in the last 3-4 months, and built to much higher aesthetic standards than in years past. And these stores aren't festooned with signs. They have a very limited amount of space for promotional signage - 2, maybe 3 posters in the windows, tops.

So... somebody in their management chain sees e-cigs being a draw, to bring people into the store.

This store had two models: The $8 disposable, plus one that was rechargable for about $20. Their eyes got a bit wider when I whipped out my eGo C tank model.

I would think that the more common place it is to see ecigs then that is better for us. I was lucky enough to find the forum prior to ordering my first one. For those that aren't then a disposable may be enough to get them interested. I still have yet to see or notice anyone using an ecig in public around where I live.

I suggest there are many more vapers "in the wild" than we realize.
They just aren't openly vaping in pubic because they don't want to
    draw negative attention.

I'm over 60 with a Type A personality and couldn't care less what others
might think or even say ... So if your in the St. Louis, MO area and see
an older guy wearing a Fedora and vaping ... That's me
    :)

I'm sure some are thinking ... Wow, that older guy has been openly
vaping in public for 4 years, bet he's been told several times to
    not vape here or there.

The number of times anyone has suggested that I not vape is ZERO.
Of course, I'm not constantly looking around wondering who's looking
at me ... In other words, I don't act like a shoplifter

I love your attitude. I am the same way. I get the most strange looks from the teenagers. Especially the ones with a .... hanging out their mouth thinking they look cool, I can imagine what they were saying "look at that crazy old lady smoking that weird thing ". Must be a 60's leftovers. I'm thinking about wearing a tie dye tee just to really freak them out :)...

Sometimes I wish I was more like that petrodus. I think you are right that there are a lot of people that vape but just don't do it out in the open.

Some of those you thought were smoking ...
could very well have been vaping on a white analog style PV.
There are reasons why analog PVs are so popular Link
