Here in south Florida, Mustangs are a me too car.

Get some motorheads together in a bar and ask, what do you drive, I have a Mustang,,, me too! They are on every corner. Nice ride but just to common.

For the price range, I would be looking for a ferrari 456m with a 12 cylinder engine. Even though these can be had for under 50 grand and the fact that at this price, they may be near 15 years old, they can be had with very low mileage. Not rare around here but sure is a head turner and the sound of a 12 banger with the right exhaust is memorable.

See, now that, that right there, is what I'm talking about.

Sure it looks nice, but it's still an AMERICAN CAR... which means for the first few years itll be OK...maybe. After that, it'll spend more time in the shop than in your driveway. I drive Hondas... They just keep going and going and going....

Thanks
Geo

Two 09 Accord EXL V6s and a 2000 Accord LX live in my drive... The 2000 is my 16yr olds. It does have a wing from a mustang GT on it, if that counts.

The wing fits better on the accord than it did on the mustang. It was a gift from a neighbor friend and fits like a glove.. plus it was a fun DIY project for the kid and the old man. :)

Thanks
Geo

great job karen

on a related note, you guys [other than ian] all sound american. i knew you were, but i always read your posts in an aussie accent

karen's is interesting, what dialect is that? [south? north east? etc]

I am blended! Guess it is from living in different parts of the country as I grew up.

When I moved from Ohio to Las Vegas I had a friend/boss that teased me for my hillbilly accent. I worked hard to drop the sounds and words that he would repeat back to me. After a few years not much was left.

If I really concentrate on my speech I can totally confuse anyone!

When I listen to lots of country music I sing with country twang! When I relax talking with people you can expect to hear about anything!

Ive got a Honda in my driveway too, Good reliable people mover they are! But a man needs a toy. Cars are a bit of a hobby of mine. Ive had a few aircooled vw's: bugs, ghias, dunebuggies. Then I moved to American muscle: 66 chevelle SS triple black (I loved that car). had a 72 rs Camaro, & a 69 that I never did much with. Had to sell most of the toys to get a family van but managed to pick up a 68 chev short and wide 4x4 out of Nevada and now shes my "muscle car"

Nice ride!
I have a buddy who owns a bimmer repair shop. We do the same things but he makes WAY more money!

Yeah, lately i started thinking i shouldve specialized in german cars , they are pain to work on but pay is lot better ...
Also unsure ,you should be happy about that $1800 tranny(giggles everytime) if you were to replace a trans on a bimmer or even a honda it would ve cost you double that ;)

You want expensive repairs (especially out of warranty)? Try one of these...

Recently got rid of mine. Went like stink, tho.

Nice!
We have a Bimmer stable - I have a 1992 - 325i cabrio - E30 body style, my lady has a bumble bee yellow/black 2002 Z3 - last year before the Z4, and our dog Fritz has an X3. We have all the bases covered! :)
