Precise is a nice mod. The 18650 version is a little big in my opinion for out and about, but the construction is impeccable. I have a Precious -L of the first type. If Caesar ever delivers on V2, it will be worth the wait IMO. It's about 1mm in diameter larger then the Precise-18, but is shorter, making it more compact. The construction will last, though on V1 the nickel tarnishes quickly and polishing it a lot will result in a brass mod. Both these mods are expensive IMO also. As far as batteries, the 18650 has been the best up to this point for 3.7-4.2. Maybe some varivoltage like the buzz, but never owned one. I have tried some box mods, but don't like them. Just me.

I'll be honest, other then the big battery mods like mentioned, I find the eGo type kit with a LR atomizer to meet the mark. My eGo batts died after a few months, and when I saw what I was going to pay for 2 more, I just charged my 16340's I had and went back to my trusty SDMKI for traveling. Also really like my syringe modded Royal Smokes E2 R4 carts with it. I have been considering the Leo to try it... but proprietary batteries and atomizers bother me... plus I have a lot invested in 510 mods!

Precise Pros = construction. Beats Precious -Lv1. Mechanical, nothing to break.
Precious Pros = that touch sensor rocks, smaller then the P-18. Cons- not as good contruction as the P-18. Hope that touch sensor never breaks.

Am I mistaken, the p18 is only slightly wider than a US dime? is that correct?

Thanks for the feedback man.. I'd even buy a used Precious L v1 at this point, it's perfect..
Thank I might end up getting the Precise 18650 however, it's available now, and it has great construction.

What may I ask, do you find to be "too large" about it? Is it that much bigger than an eGo?

By the way I'd never buy a box mod. so im with you on that..

I don't fit the bill (yet) to answer your question.

I will offer though, that I do not plan to make my P18 my goto PV, simply due to its price. The body alone costing 4x as much as a TorneGo, and my uncanny ability to lose things ... just doesn't seem like a good idea to me, LOL. I plan to use it at home and out on special occasions and get togethers ... definitely not to the workplace. I etch my initials in my tools at work, that just lets the thieves know who they stole them from though. Not planning to etch my P18!

But, let's hear from current owners! :)

I don't have the same situation as you, I'm a Graphic Designer and 3D animator.. I have an office, only people I know well are around me. I carry a bag with me almost always ( need to hold design supplies, sketchpads, ect.. ) so it will never be in my pocket.

Also, just as a note.. I've learned to buy the best I can afford, and enjoy it.. no sense in buying it if you're not going to use the hell out of it. Get your moneys worth, don't let it own you :)

Oh, I'm definitely in that camp. So my needle nose pliers cost $25 and a set of hex keys cost $35, when I could buy those items for $3-4 total at Wal Mart.
Quality costs more, and it's worth more. Why else would I be stalking the mailman for delivery on a P18? heh

But, I won't be taking it to the beach, among other places.

If you want a different vap, go with a bottom feeder.I went straight from an eGo to a Ali'i from R&R Manufacturing. Sure, it's made out of exotic wood, and if you drop on solid concrete the thing will break...just don;t drop it!

It's the most gorgeous mod on the market, and a highly incredible vap when you buy the VV.

P-18 diameter is larger then a dime, larger then a nickel, smaller then a quarter. It is a fairly long mod in comparison to the Precious and about the same weight once you add that 18650 batt. My V1 gets little use since getting the P-18. I use it mostly at home, or in my office. I do not use it in the car much or out on town. Use my SDMKI for that typically. The P-16 would be a good compromise, but no real batt gain over an eGo, other then cost of batts. I have a P-10, very slim, but longer then I expected. With the 10440 batt, life sucks. Only use it if going out to dinner usually. I put a review comparing the the P-18 and Precious in the reviews section back in August... don't have time to dig it up, but it has pics.

I actually just switched my order to the 16340 precise , talked with forcedfuel and I think it's going to be a better size for me to carry around! What kind of battery life can I expect with a 16340 3.7 battery?

I'd probably use the aw high drain 16340s (they'll run LR atties better)

and again it depends on the resistance of the atty...

but with a 1.5 lr atty...about 801 continuous seconds...or 267 (3 sacond long) button presses
( thats about 4.5 hours hitting it once a minute every minute)

holding the button longer or averaging more than 60 drags an hour will cut that down of course

by the way...
you take the voltage divided by resistance of your atty to get amp draw...

then take that amp draw (in mA) and divide by the mAh rating of your battery...
that's c rate of discharge...
divide 60 (min) by that c rate and it gives continuous minutes...
multiply that by 60 and it gives continuous seconds....

divide that by average length of your button press...(for # of button presses)
and then divide that by theaverage # of presses you take in an hour (ie 60 is 1 a minute, 120 is 1 ever 30 seconds, etc)
