Rocketpunk and I have similar tastes and experiences.

Three Provari's with IBTanked cartotanks. One MVPv1 with IBTanked.

I also have tried rba's. Mixed results. In all, I found them to be too time-consuming and fiddly (for me). I just want to vape; a new cartotank setup takes me 5 minutes and zero maintanance thereafter. A new coil and wick in the rba would take me at least 1/2 hour.

I have several setups that I use and enjoy pretty much equally. A Provari and a kayfun/R91%... A Roller (kicked and unkicked) and a kayfun/R91%... A Provari and a DID (wicked with cotton) and my Reo Grand with a RM2.

If I HAD to get rid of everything and keep just ONE device and topper? That's tough! I want to say I'd keep a provari and kayfun but I believe it might be the Reo/RM2 that I'd keep  But only because it's so simple and currently has my favorite juice in it

Until recently it was my Kayfun 3.1 (clone) on my Hammer (clone), but then I got an Aqua RBA. Waiting for an Origin mod that I'm sure will be great, but as I'm nearing my mid-age crisis I'm expecting the Hammer to remain my favourite mod...

Edit: oh, and I run the Aqua at 9.4 ohms (dual coil), and my. Aquas are set with 1 and 1.2 ohm coils.

I don't have many, as a matter of fact only two...a genuine Nemesis matte and what you see below, a JD Tech Stingray topped with a KFL+ upgraded with a titanium top cap...the Stingray setup is pure vaping bliss for me, all day every day.

Try messing with either of these two mechs of mine and were fighting. Your have to beat me till I lose consciousness to get either one.

REO grand with a cyclone and an oliveR by pdib with a mark bugs chalice.

A bottom fed RBA can be completely rebuilt with a micro coil and cotton wick in about 5 minutes if you take your time - just look how simple it looks:

And that coil will last a month ( or more ) and the wick lasts easily a week.

Refilling the onboard 6 ml juice bottle and putting in a fresh 18650 once a day takes about 2 minutes if you take your time. :)

I have to say it... and this is hard for me because I love my Caravelas more than life, and like super_X_drifter said about his mods, you would have to practically kill me to separate me from them. Any good dripping atty on top of those gorgeous, power-house mods is pure vaping heaven. Cyclone with AFC and the 3D have been my go-to's of late...

But tonight I fired up a cute little white Reo Mini 2.1 with an AW IMR 18490 battery in it (punches out 16.5 amps, which is bad-a$s for a small battery), and a simple RM2 atty on top (air hole drilled out to 3/32"). Coil is drill-twisted 24 gauge Kanthal - 7 wraps on a 5/64th" precision screwdriver. Wick is CVS rolled cotton. And damned if it isn't the easiest, most powerful, most perfect vape in the whole wide world. Fresh dripped flavor - massive clouds - squonk to re-saturate... paradise.

OK, gotta dig the builds but I'm still wrapping my head around the concept of micro coils. Stop me if I'm wrong but, ohms is basically measured as gauge of wire over the length of the wire, with higher gauge (ie: 32 > 28) making a higher resistance rating.

So, if you take the same length of 32ga it has a higher resistance than 28ga. Also why longer extension cords must have a lower gauge (larger diameter) to handle the same voltage and amp draw without literally burning them up (ie: the wire breaking from thermal failure, which is what breaks coils).

I guess what I'm getting at is how do you use the comparable length of wire to make the micro coils (even considering that duals cut the resistance in half) and keep the coil:

A: Large enough to give the surface area for heating that micros are known for

B: Low enough in resistance to pull that 1.3ohms

C: Still large enough to put in what appears to be a rather close to 2mm wick with the set up.

Sorry about the long post I've just been interested in a while and not found the info I was looking for... 70+ hrs a week at work doesn't help. Just hoping you've got a link or a smack on the head lol
