Hi all, not sure if any of you remember me or not, but at one point I was active here and was a die hard e-cig promoter and user. Unfortunately I hit a rough patch and next thing I new I was back on normal cigs. It's been many months now and I hate it. In fact, I'm smoking more than ever and I loathe that. I keep wanting to get back to e-cigs but feel overwhelmed with it all. I'm a single father (widowed) of two young boys and it's been hard to find the time and energy to get reacquainted with e-cigs. That's why I keep putting it off. I feel so out of touch now and overwhelmed to the point of complacency. So I'm desperately asking for your help. For my boys, I need to get off the real thing.

Seems that so much has changed since last I was here. Double coil? Triple coil? tanks? Geez, I don't even know where to start. So I'll try and make it as simple as possible.

I use 36mg juice usually. I like a heavy strong hit. I used to use HV mods but they've all broken in one way or another, including the darwin which I loved, but the threads on the copper part broke off, so now it's useless. But it seems batteries have improved to the point these mods aren't necessary?

I want dual coil. I tried doing the research but got frustrated after seeing good review followed by bad review, which supplier etc. So without too much detail, please please please tell me the name of the dual coil cartos that WORK, the name of the big battery I have to use with it, and a good supplier, preferably near jersey.

I ask because I don't have the time to research to the degree I'd need. I know I need to do this, need to order, need to get back on track, asap. I just feel so clueless right now is all. I'm hoping you'll help.

If it simply works, I'll buy it. Whether tank, system, dual coil carto, epower somethin or other?, just whatever. Strong TH and consistent performance. I just want to order this afternoon. If you give me the pieces that work together (battery, carto, proper fit etc) I will just order it straight away.

Thanks for putting up with my babble. This is important to me and as soon as I started feeling overwhelmed I decided to turn to you all for help. I can't look back this time. Can't put it off any longer. I need to get back on ecigs!

Thanks, Happy New Year, and love ya all!

Jeremy

That's a tough one to answer because what works for one of us may not work for someone else. Some folks like box mods, others like to stick with tube mods, dual coils are available now in either atomizers or cartomizers, the list goes on. Then there's the question of how much you're looking to spend.

I think dual coils really shine near 5v. So if I were you, I'd probably go over to kalamazoovaporshop.com, pick up either a VVV or a Variable Voltage Big Kazoo, fresh batteries to go with it, some of the SmokTech cartomizers, maybe even the SmokTech tank, a bottle of OMFG tobacco and give that a shot. That'd get you set up in one stop and James, who owns that shop is a hell of a good guy to deal with.

Just my two pennies, good luck man.

Your Darwin is still under warranty...send it in and get it fixed.

In the meantime, I recommend a Riva Indulgence V3. Elitevaporworks.com sells them and has free shipping. As for dual coils, majority of vendors have them but elitevaporworks doesn't. The Indulgence (don't confuse it with the other version) is all mechanical and can take an assortment of batteries. I run mine a 6V constantly.

Jeremy,

Glad to see your return! And yes, many improvements since your last post in 3/2010.

As a vet, you know that you're gonna get swamped with recommendations. What operable eqipment do ya have from your past vaping ventures? The reason I ask is, if you have an eGo charger, I have a couple of eGo batts and several cartos that I can send ya. This would buy ya some time to catch up on the 'latest & greatest' to determine what ya 'think' ya would like. No need to rush your purchases! LMK...

Good luck!

I will not be much help, as I quit vaping and went back to smoking for about 6 mos or so. Last thing I remembered new here was the Hellomizer, which I don't see mentioned anymore.

As far as HV goes, I am guessing it is still all the same mods, I like 7.4 so, I haven't seen anything new in that area, but I am not fully caught up yet either. 6v will tide me through work if I have to.

I can tell you to look up something that will be coming. The Kick by Evolv. That may help in choosing a new mod. Here is a vid:

I guess I should send the Darwin in. Having that said, I prefer cartos, and can't wait to try dual coil cartos. Money is no object to me as it relates to this. If I need to spend, I'll spend. I just keep reading contradictory stuff which is why I got overwhelmed.

Like I was just reading how great the ProVari is, but then see it recommends not using dual coil, even though I wanna use dual coil.

As far as current equipment, I wanna start from scratch. I want the newest, best, most consistent equipment that can easily and quickly be shipped. Do tend to prefer 510 threads though.

@XDoctor: I'm gonna check the stuff you recommended out. Thanks!

Welcome back; I know you can quit smoking. Although I use my tank everyday, my suggestion would be to get some HV cartos to get started back and used to it, and then get a tank. Ikenvape makes some great cartos. Get yourself another mod until you can get yours fixed. There are some inexpensive ones out there.

Just do it!!
