I ordered a V2 standard kit which should be here soon. I'm new to this forum as well as vaping.I have been on other forums and have tried to learn as much as possible before I ordered my kit. I find myself overwhelmed with all the choices in batteries, juices, and things I really need. I'm on a fixed income, so it will take me awhile to build up stock to keep me going.

I'm looking for tobacco flavored juices and a couple more batteries. Any other advice would be welcomed. Thanks in advance.

Hi, and welcome to the ECF!

V2 cigs are not a bad product, but not very good either, and somewhat overpriced. The V2 cigs are pretty much standard "KR808D-1" vaporizers so you can use their batteries with any other KR808D-1 cartomizers and viceversa. I would compare them with other similar products like the Volt from Somkeless Image and the KR808 cigarettes from Vapor-4-Life. However, if you bought one of their larger kits, you probably spent to much.

Regardless, you should definitely look into filling your own cartomizers with e-juice because that's significanlty cheaper and more pleasurable than buying pre-filled. Look around the forum for more info and ask away if there's anything specific you want to know more about.

I'm sort of new to this, but I initially started with V2. There are lots of very experienced people around to help.

And no, you are not "committed" to V2. They have a 30 day return policy and you can use a lot of other stuff with their batteries. Also, if you decide to keep them, you might consider buying a pack of blank cartos from them once in a while, as if your account is inactive 90 days people say you lose your lifetime warranty on batteries.

Welcome and congrats for giving it a whirl. I don't know about the V2 kits but tobacco juices my first fall in love was Vapor Stations Tn,TX,Frisco and Tampa, I just tried a sample pack. My Freedom Smokes Camel, ry3 and 4 and Flue Cured. liberty Flights has a good variety of tobacco juices and sell in small bottles to try and 2.99 shipping, I like the RY4,flue cured, virginia. I do like Dekang DK-Tab when I can find it in Vg as I am allergic to pg.

Congrats and welcome!

First off don't let yourself be overwhelmed. It's easy to get paralysis by analysis while researching. It sounds like you've made it past that part as you've decided on the V2 so now you're ready for some good ole trial and error. Pace yourself... maybe even create a budget for vape related supplies each month. In the beginning you'll be excited and eager to try new things especially if you still get the itch to pick up an analog because your pv is not satisfying the urge.

With that said, my first eCig was an eGo starter kit. I honestly think I'll always have a few in arms reach. Luckily I was told early on to get some cartos and a drip tip to top off my eGo (that's right, some people just need to be told what to do) and I've never looked back or been inclined to get another eCig because what I had worked for me.

Next, I started off ordering the smaller 5ml bottles of juice from a few vendors to figure out what flavor and nic level would keep the edge off. That was honestly my toughest battle. I was a PAD Newport smoker and I found that I was drawn to Menthol and RY4. Both vape like crazy and have a nice TH. I've recently come across Dijarum Vanilla. I order these three liquids constantly now. Oh yeah, you'll want to find 1-2 vendors that carry your supplies to keep your shipping costs down, but then again, you're in NY so there may be a eCig vendor on every corner... (I kid)

Hope this helps.

I agree with elfstone that there are better options and at a much better price. But everyone who vapes needs to have a backup PV.

When you go to get another model, I would suggest you look at the E-Power, Kgo or Riva. You will get much longer battery life. Althoughs these all come 510 threaded, if you prefer the 808 cartos, you can use an adapter ($3) and still use the 808's. One of these kits will cost you $40 - $50 complete.
