I usually recommend Vapor4life because I think they have a system that is easy for beginners to use and accept. I no longer use mine because I've switched to e-cigs with a longer battery life, but I still think it's a good starter system. The other one recommended by most is the 510, but I never got one of those. Many, many people speak highly of them.

I sure wish I had asked the same question you are asking before buying all that I have.

I first owned a 510 by vaporking. Works well, but would have bought the manual batteries to begin with. My only complaint about the 510 is the battery life. But these look alot like a real cigarette so if that is what you want, go for it, but make sure to get a couple of extra atomizers, and a couple of extra batteries if you are trying to replace a pack plus per day habit. These batteries last 2 hours at the most for me.

I just bought and Joyego. I saw some adds on here today for some on sale. It is awesome if you are looking for performance with great vapor, and awesome battery life.
My standard 650 mah ego lasts me all day, and I pop the fresh one in the evening.

Make sure to get some different juices, and scour the threads for what people are suggesting. Your best bet is to explain what you like, sweet or not sweet.

One more thing. Watch the youtube video on filling your own carts by using the pyramid tea bag mod. For me this works best. Buy a drip tip as well, if you like to change flavors often.

Hope this helps you.

+1 On the eGo. I started with the blucigs (ok, but better off avoiding), and after a week I tried an eGo in the mall, and was blown away by the difference. Bought mine from freedomsmokeusa (10% off coupon code with the name). I ordered on a holiday weekend, and I had it the first day after that the PO was open again. I work 12+ hour days and one battery (the standard 650 mAh bat) gets me through the day and usually into the next morning, and I vape almost nonstop at work. I can't recommend strongly enough that this be your starting kit.

I have the kr8 and I am glad I started with it. I prefer manual batteries over automatic ones. Get sample sizes of liquid to start with until you find some flavors that you like. You may be surprised by the flavors become favorites.

There is a learning curve to ecigs, so read the forums and don't be shy about asking questions.

My first one I bought was from N-pro at a truck stop, I still have it but the problem with it is n-pro will void any warranties what so ever if you use e-juice on it. Also the other downside to this product is that its so expensive, and now they won't deliver to Oregon. I then bought a pen style vapor1000 this I really liked and have been using for the last 2 years and bought it from vaporcig.com. I just recently upgraded my product to the 510 model manual, and I just fell in love with it. In matter of fact I ordered it on thursday and just got this one today in the mail spent $59.95 for it, and been using it, I get a much stronger and longer drag then the vapor1000 which will cut you off after you inhale on it too long.

If you are looking to buy a product i would recommend you look at 6 different things and stay away from n-pro.
1) Price
2) warranties
3) products
4) Customer service
5) E-juice allowed to be used

I hope this helps in helping you find what will work for you and your vaping needs.

I started with a 510 kit and quickly upgraded to the eGo for battery life. Wish I would have taken other's recommendations and started with the eGo. I'm jus' sayin'.

Everyone's needs and available funds are different so read some reviews, watch the recommended videos, and choose what's going to be best for you.

You cannot go wrong with the Ego with a LR atomizer and drip tip. Just make sure you drop 3-4 drops before hitting the button:) Ask me how I know? lol I love the Ego and it has been great at satisfying my cravings with plenty of vapor. I did not like the regular 510 attys that came with it, nor the cartridges. The LR atty or a cartomizer for me, is the way to go:)

Vape on! JB

I think I would have been a bit overwhelmed had I not started with a KR808. They're just so easy, and once you realize that you can use these instead of smoking and actually enjoy it, you'll be more apt to move along to something more like the eGo.

But, that's just me. Everyone's different.

As for KR808 vendors, I can recommend V2Cigs. Electronic Cigarettes, ecigarette, vapor cigarettes, ecigs, electronic cigs They're batteries are great and their cartos taste good (at least, the vanilla and coffee do...can't vouch for the others). They have very good customer service and have a toll-free number that you can call and actually talk to a human being. I've called them twice, and I was very happy with their CS.

V4L is another that people like, but I don't like their Dekang liquids in their cartos. Made me ill...but I know a lot of other folks love them.

It's a secret!
I started vaping january of this year and have tried volcano cigs (they're good if you want a good mini-cig) 801 models as well as 510 models including the ego and riva.

I now use the Rough Stack from Madvapes. I just posted a review about it tonight here:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...01-cartomizer-madvapes-first-impressions.html

It looks NOTHING like a real cigarette but for me, this has great performance. It's small, uses standard 18350 batteries that are cheap to replace. You can cheaply have a few batteries charged so that you can quickly replace when you use one up. The batteries should easily last you a day.

I use a low resistance 510 atomizer on mine and love it. There's no cut-off and it's really durable. You can use carts or cartomizers, but I'd recommend getting a drip tip and some different flavors of juice.

I agree with everyone recommending the KR808D-1. It is quite easy to learn to use it. I also would recommend specifically the XL batteries from Vapor4Life, as they have a nice long battery life. They are also available in a variety of color options and are about the size of an actual cig (except the length...the shorty ones are closer to the length of a cig). Their Ultimate XL Value Kit comes with 2 batteries, a charger, a carrying case (the photo shows battery bags, but it comes with a hard case that holds four batteries and 8 cartos), and a 5 pack of cartomizers (you can pick your flavor). Of course, if you're going for the XL Value Kit, the only two battery colors available are green and pink, since they're the older batteries with a shorter cut-off time. Cost is $49.95, and you can use the coupon code smilin for 10% off.
If you want an XL kit with the newer batteries, it costs $65.00, but it also comes with a USB passthrough and USB charger (and doesn't come with the carrying case).

Absolutely agree with jereader. I've been through a handful of the smaller jobs (still keep them for backup), but about the time the Janty eGOs came out I got sold watching a video apparently made by the manufacturers, demoing a prototype. I was about the try the JantyStick, went with the eGO instead. That was over a year ago and I haven't looked back.

My sister's boyfriend got her a kit from one of those designer labels, hardly ever uses it. I tried it out, the damn thing's cracked already. I bought some of the earlier generic mini models for relatives and a business partner, who rarely use them. I'm convinced that had I gotten them eGOs they'd be less likely to be sucking on cancer sticks today. I myself haven't lit one in 16 months.

I've also noticed that the generic atomizers I seem to have a fistful of in my junk drawer, all clogged beyond redemption, last nowhere near as long as Janty's do. The eGO lives up to its advertising, is ruggedly made, and has a battery I'd like to put under the hood of my truck. The only caveat I'd have is the charger. Tighten the battery into it till the red light comes on and the battery button flashes, then just a tad farther, no more. I overtightened my first one and twisted the wires loose. No biggy, a replacement chargers costs about eight bucks. Problem was, they back-ordered my order for about three months for no reason I can fathom (hence the value of keeping all those old minis lying around).

A final note: When I finally got the right e-cig (and a flavor I liked despite FDA interference), I stopped keeping up with the latest tech (or experimenting with new flavors). No need, I'm still not smoking cigarettes. Reading this forum I see there's a lot of innovations out there I know nothing about. Could be I'm using a cherished old flintlock after percussion cap technology has been discovered. But jeread's right, in my opinion, start with a high-end model, avoid needless disappointment and possible failure in your early efforts.
