Hello. I might have one of these soon so I ask what batteries do I need? Is it just aw imr batts that will work or can I use trust fires? I'm kinds scared of the monitoring because to be honest I wont monitor it. Any other p18350 owners use protected batts in there or is there just no way. Also how many hours do you average on a aw. Maybe I can go off that. Thanks and sorry if this has been asked already.

Super T recommends using ONLY AW batteries. They do however send a bunch of washers and o-rings so you can adjust your P+ to work with a variety of bats. I'd stick with the AW's cause they just work. Period. I use them even in my cheapo (The Bolt) mod. I can't y say I get a whole lot better performance out of them but I do get a little.

AW IMR 18350s are awesome little batteries. I've been convinced if this very recently as I've acquired a Mini ProVari and as a test, vaped it exclusively two days straight. Incredibly, an 18350 got me through from 4:30 am 'til 10 pm both days @ 3.9 volts on 1.5 ohms. I was stunned. Of course in a Precise, the voltage drop off definitely would yield a shorter time but I don't have enough data to comment.

Fair enough but with no hardware to check em how can I keep track

IMR batteries are almost self-checking. If you look at David's graphs you'll see that IMRs generally keep a vapable voltage for a long time then suddenly go krffzzt. When you notice the krffzzt (and you will) it's time to switch, and that's well before the time you'd damage the battery.

I'm sorry, are you asking how to know when you need to change batteries? If that's the case, just use your taste buds and check your vapor production. It really will tell you on its own when its time to swap them out. If you notice a signifigant change in taste then you slap in a new battery. I've noticed that when I do change out using this method I'm still outputting 3.5-3.7 off load so I am nowhere near stressing the battery. I'd still buy a cheapo Multimeter for checking your batteries off the charger though. That's going to be your best indicator of bad bat/charger setup anyway. I don't do it every time but at least twice a week.

If I've totally missed your question, I'm sorry.

How long do you guys get run time on this battery on this device with what kind of setup. I want this to be my work setup. Small and powerfull.

There are going to be two main variables that determine how long the battery will last. How often do you vape at work? What resistance are your atomizers or cartos?

I use 1.7 ohm cartos with juice that is about 85% PG. I manage a bar, so I can vape whenever I want, so my usage varies based on my mood, stress level, how busy I am, etc. On a calm afternoon where I'm just doing paperwork and taking a few deliveries, and I just puff when I feel like it, I'd say I get 4 hours from an AW 18350. On a busy night out on the floor with people smoking all around me I can drain an AW 18350 in under 2 hours.

I always carry 2 extra batteries though, and I keep a P+10 with several batteries in the office as a back up, just in case something should happen to my P+18350 (God forbid).

I work at a machine shop so I cape whenever. I usually do a 1.5-1.8 ohm only rebuildables. Don't use stock stuff at all. Here is an example. I've taken my sturm mod with sturm and get through the day until I get home on a 14500 trust fire at 1.7 ohm. I should be fine I assume. WitH an extra battery.

Hey man, if you are good with a 14500 then you will be good with an 18350imr, I love the aw imr 18350, I usually go through 3 batts from morning to night, so while at work I go through one and might start a second. I do not really monitor too much, you just want to swap batts once the hit starts getting wimpy, I am sure you can handle it, its not as hard as people might think, I recently did an experiment with my wife. She just recently started using a mod with imr aw 14500 batts, I was nervous about her overdischarging them so I asked her to give me her battery once she wanted to change to a new one, every time she gave me a batt is was just above 3.55volts so well above what it needed to be. You can just tell when it is going down. I would say that a fully charged batt and a backup is gonna be more than enough for you. Also, once the battery gets old, it is pretty obvious, you will notice that it is not performing for long at all, I am finally having this happen with my 4 batts in rotation, 2 of the 4 are getting really bad and the other two are nowhere near what they were when they were new. When they get like that, its time to get new. I am sorry if this is repetitive of what someone else has said, and I am sure that you know some of this stuff but just trying to be thorough. In closing, the 18350 is a much better batt than the 14500(IMO), you will be pleasantly surprised imo.

Thank you bro, I still haven't forgotten our "deal" when I get the precise I'll make two that match the od perfectly. its gonna look like its part of it,
No rush man, I do appreciate that though. I feel kinda bad about that deal because what do I have to offer you? If your interested in a kydex holster for your precise let me know I will make you one. You have got me excited though, thanks

Here are my results.
I loaded my 18350 with a fully charged battery of unknown age at 5am and took off for work. Had a normal work/vape day (a toot or two here and there every 10 minutes or so with a heavy-duty vape break at 8am). By 11:00 at my next break it was still vaping but not to my satisfaction so I changed the battery. It's now 8:30 and I'm still on that second battery, but this afternoon/evening has been lighter than normal vaping and I've also switched up a bit on another mod. This was on a 1.5 ohm atty.
So it appears on this particular sunny Colorado day I got about 5-6 hours of decent moderate vaping out of an IMR 18350 in my P+.

Im geting good results with the 18350 battery also... Put it in a Provari mini at 11:00 am and headed to the casino.
I vaped moderate-heavy... When I got home at 5:30 pm it was still firing my Provari mini with a 3 ohm atty set at 5.5 volts.
Not bad....
