I'd be surprised to see Provape come out with a trade in program. They're not likely looking to take products back. But a Provari should be VERY easy to sell. I wasn't really looking to sell my 2.5 until I had the P3 in hand to be honest. I was just outside vaping with a fellow outside my office building and he knew I was in love with my 2.5 and I told him about the P3 and that I planned to get one. He asked what I'd do with my 2.5 and I said that since I had two, I'd sell one. He opened his wallet and paid me on the spot for my 2.5, so I took the battery out, unscrewed my nautilus and went back to my office where I had my other 2.5 in my briefcase waiting for me. I brought him the box the next day. Probably the easiest thing I've ever sold. Ever! He also bought my Kangertech Mega for exactly what I paid for it. It was just siting at home in a drawer collecting dust since I discovered how terrific the nautilus/BVC coil combination is.

I know exactly what you mean. I kind of went banana sandwich after I got my Standard Satin Black ProVari. When my tax return came I got kinda crazy. Bought a Satin Silver standard as the black's back up. Then I got a used Blue on the classies for no other reason than I liked the blue LED.

So here I am with three standards and I'm thinking to myself...what am I doing???. I had fallen in love with the look of my Satin Silver with my Kayfun so that one was a keeper. I offered a trade on the classies straight up for a mini. Someone took me up on it and traded their satin silver mini straight up for my satin black standard. It couldn't have worked out better. I got a finish I preferred for my attys and he got a 20 dollar paint job for free. Well now I had a spare Blue, and I simply resold that on the classies for what I paid.

Never lost any money on any transaction I had with a ProVari, so I think selling my Satin Silver standard for $100.00 should be pretty easy to do when I pull the trigger.

Of course I'll have to disclose it's the same unit I intentionally dunked in a glass of water for my ProVari challenge, but It's still working so I think I'll be ok......:D

Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase a Provari who went for a swim!

Regarding the looks, lets not forget that the prior edition of the Provari has those vertical slots, then they changed to the crop circles and tear drops. Maybe they'll do this is they happen to release a Provari 3.5? ah maybe I'm getting ahead of myself here though

Hush.....please don't have me looking forward to the model after the model we can't even buy yet! Jeesh......

I'm a big fan of vertical slots.

Which is precisely why I'm hanging onto my old V2's.

Sitting here with the P3 in my hands, build, and feel is just what we all love! Menu is gunna take some time to learn, a lot more option's and one button, kinda on the fence with that one. But then again I am a old ... dumb country boy. All in all very nice so far. I see alot of people wondering if they should get it. The 2 biggest things that I have seen so far is the flat top, and the boost as being pluses. If I had a 2.5 I prolly would wait unless those 2 things are important to you. The boost feature with my KF is a very nice feature for sure. Only negative thing I can say is I saw in another post about looking at the logo sideways, and OMG I dont think that image will ever get out of my head

I had the chance to use a Provari P3 for an evening earlier this week. Vaping mostly on mechs, I previously had no interest in owning a Provari because of it's current limitations, but the new 20 watt spec of the P3 piqued my interest.

I spend most of my time vaping Kayfuns and similar style tank atomizers, so this is what I used on it. And in short: I was very impressed with it's performance. In fact, I was actually surprised at how low I could set the power on it and still find the vape very satisfying. The Kayfun I used most of the evening had 1.5Ω build in it, and I found it performed very well at 12 watts for me. I honestly expected that I would be setting it towards its upper limits to satisfy me.

I ran another Kayfun that I use on a mechanical that had 0.9Ω build. I also enjoyed it, noticing that it performed similarly as it did on a mech, but quickly found my power setting was limited to the neighborhood of 18 watts. Not a deal breaker for me, as I understand this type of build doesn't play to this devices strengths. A compromise of something in between is what I would find satisfying if I owned one.

After familiarizing myself with the menu system, I found it fairly easy to use and adjust. I found my only gripes with the one button system is that it forces you to fire the atomizer (was it 3 times?) before entering the menu and that when adjusting the power (or any of it's settings, for that matter) that if you missed your target, you had to wait for it to come back around. Mind you this is a very small gripe, because adjusting most of it's features is not something most will do frequently.

The only feature I did not figure out, is that it seemed to have a preset feature, which I thought was clever and would ultimately prove convenient. I did not figure out how to actually save a preset. No biggy. I don't own the device and I'm sure I was one click away from figuring it out.

In short, I was impressed enough with this thing that I could very easily see this being an all day/everyday device for the type of vaping I enjoy. I preemptively "called dibs" on one of the beta units when Provape releases them for sale, depending on whether or not the features change on the final release.

Can't wait to get my hands back on a P3! :)

I vape a 1.5Ω coil on my 2.5 all the time. Despite the statement that the 2.5 has a 15w and 3.5a limit, there is some leeway depending on the individual device. I've currently got a Rüzgar with a 1.5Ω coil on my bronze mini and it's firing fine at 4.8v - that's 15.36w/3.2a; I've noticed that in general the 2.5 is much more picky about the amps limit than the watts limit, although with this set-up it won't fire at 4.9v.

I'm sure it was the amps limit that cut you off above 18w with the 0.9Ω build. √18/0.9 = 4.47 which is coming pretty close to the 5a limit and as I said there is leeway (up or down) depending on the device, so maybe the one you used won't really go to 5a.

I can vape 0.9Ω coils on my 2.5s, but it cuts me off at roughly 3.3v. It was just a test to try the 0.9Ω build on the 'Vari, I built it for my mech, since I like the mini in 18350 configuration and the battery life is too short.

I know what you mean dude. Twigs and Berries. I'm laughing to the point of tears at your comment, but seriously, they gotta modify that logo somehow. It's haunting me....

The points that he doesn't like

The top cap thing, has been addressed in this thread. I don't think that will be a problem with me.
The size 22.5 (?) vs 23 or 22. I'm using a kfl without a beauty ring..... LOL This will be an improvement, whether or not there is a slight difference in the transition from atty to battery.
Menu...missing the option I am trying to get to and having to go back to the beginning.... Might or might not irritate me LOL. I miss my menu option now all the time and it is nothing for me to go back and scroll through. I can see me doing it all the time with this model.
20 vs 30 chip.... not a detriment for the way I vape. My sweet spot is 1.8. I like a cooler vape.

He was honest in how he feels about the device, that's totally cool. Not everyone is going to love it and not everyone is going to hate it. If ProVape tried to please everyone....well that is just a losing proposition. Never gonna happen.

I'm still going to get one when it finally comes out. I already warned my hubby :D

I love that it will be a flat top, I love that it comes with the extensions and I won't have to purchase the extra. I will probably get the smallest battery and see what the mini size is like. Not sure if I will ever use it...but hey, it is always good to have extra batteries in the house in case of a hurricane and I am without power for a while.

The colors on the button... it will probably be off all the time anyway. I generally don't have the button light on as it is now. A lighted button does not lend well to stealth vaping and with it off all the time, I never have to worry if I have shut the darn thing off.

All in all... not a Bad review. He did admit he is not a fan of the ProVari so I have to give him props for being honest.

Don't you DARE be dissing PB&J!

That's it. We're enemies now. I take my PB&J very seriously. I routinely go onto threads supporting salami sandwiches and rip them apart because they're NOT PB&J.

The line has been drawn. :2cool:

I suggested one of my girlfriends eat some peanut butter daily, as she was suffering from a bout of anemia and she told me she has never tried it. After I got over the shock, I told her to buy a jar and some jelly and make a sandwich. She bought some the next day and said she didn't like it much, as it tasted just like butter to her. What are the cows eating in the Czech Republic???

Just for the record, the P3 is the same diameter as the v2.5. 22.8mm. Not sure why people (not you, but it was beat to death in a couple other places) have been making such a fuss over it.

Honestly, for the way I vape, the top cap is really the only thing I do like about it.

OK my review.
Its a great Provari. I love it.
I picked up my P3 today. It belongs to me.
I love the different colors each time I push the button and when I put the battery in the P3.
I love being able to see the battery life on the window while I am using the device.
These are not the technical things but it is something I love.
I got pics to include also.

Photo of the almost run down battery.

Photo of dead battery.
Photos taken in the car. I was not driving at the time.

I played with the top ring and silly me I put it on upside down (lol)

I think the P3 works better than the 2.5 actually.
I just don't know why but it does.

At least its IQ told me I was vaping at too low a setting.
A sign looking emblem -- (!) looked like that-- or it could have been a lighting bolt.
I am not sure.
It came up in the window.
The emblem was where the ohm symbol is on the menu.
It told me to change the setting or try another atomizer.
I like this feature it provides me with the info I need to get a great vape.

I read the manual and it didn't say how to set the Hot Shot boost feature.
I don't think it even said how to set things on the device.
Its been fun to play with today.

If anyone has a question I can answer feel free to ask.

Down sides to me

It has a satin finish. I like it but I don't love it.
I love the polished finished on Provaris.
It isn't my Dragon.

Makes me sad I am gonna miss my Dragon.:(
