Very surprised by the comments about the battery door not fitting perfectly and the fit and finish being sub par , i must have been a lucky one because there isn't a flaw to be seen anywhere on mine . Construction, fit and finish are exceptional on mine.
Same way with mine too. My battery door is more perfect and fit and finish is better than anything I expected to be mass produced from China for a budget price.
I'm thinking it was either a very small batch of the production run with machining problems like the battery door, or QC caught a whole lot of them before they were shipped. However my vendor received a batch, they weren't happy with around the same time the first vendors started shipping. It may have been the battery back that was the problem.
If the problem is in the back and not the housing itself, man that will be the easiest fix ever. Just ship the user a new battery door and have them install it with a disclaimer about the small screws and needing to be careful.
So far I've been
vaping a week, haven't used any other device, haven't even put a battery in them since I got this one. I've had a pleasant experience. I did see the voltage spike problem others reported, and it was caused by me washing and rewicking my Tugboat and causing a loose connection. I think if it gets erratic ohm readings it will spike the volts randomly until it makes good connection, the
dna also has done this with a
kayfun, I just didn't realize what caused the burning until I watched the IPV2 do it. Some users might have the same symptom from a legitimate device problem but I bet it's related to something at the 510 connection or center pin.
