Already done that...but the thing is, it´s not the "fault" of the shop cause the mod was packed originally, so seems like somneone has just forgotten to put the screws in the box :)

I dont expect an answer after few minutes, but 14 days without any contact is not really good...

The North American warranty is being handled by Asmodus Distribution: Contact Info

Try contacting them.

I went in my local b&m intending to buy a surf rider and got turned into this box mod. Granted i wanted the surf rider but the 170 price tag was a ....., he turned me into the ipv2. I uses the demo one and it's ..... Tried it 3x since and I will have this tomorrow. I saw the 100 watter coming out, but....I don't need that much. So hopefully tomorrow this time I'll be vaping this ......

I don't know why everyone keeps saying; " I don't need 100 watts!" You don't have to use all 100 watts, you could use it at 50 watts, just like the IPV2, but have 2X18650 batts that will last, most likely, 10 plus hours!!! And, on the off chance you do want to try out 100 watts, you will have that ability.

I, personally, will be waiting for the IPV2S, and buy that since it has upgraded and flush buttons, water resistant, has the bigger screws, and the ability to bump up the power, and then wait 2 weeks for the IPV3S which should be upgraded like the IPV2S. Plus, in a couple weeks, the IPV 2 will be 70.00, because the IPV2S and IPV3 will be out then.

No need for Greenleaf to keep upgrading their products weekly, and keep putting them to market, it's cool and screwed at the same time. :2c:

^do you turn your ipv off?

I notice it has some hella parasitic drain if I leave it on all night, and the screen seems to randomly stay on for a long time...it doesn't fire. I've watched and listened for it....
I never turn mine off. Standby drain is very minimal.

Got my IPV in yesterday, LOVE IT. Have had one complaint now though after having it for one full day. I used the IPV (heavily, of course) and last night it popped up with "check battery" when it got too low to fire, and when I turned the watts down to 15 it kept allowing me to fire it. I thought it began to fire at 10w when it got too low if you were at a higher wattage? Another thing I noticed was that I charged it on the USB cable ALL night last night (light was on) and when I woke up this morning the light was off and it was only halfway charged. To charge it I ran the USB cable into a USB adapter on a wall outlet if that helps anything here..... I have exchanged batteries for a different one (both are VTC5) and currently have the one that was 'charged' halfway in my Nitecore charger. Fun fact - Nitecore charger is indicating that this is a fully dead battery basically.....not even charged in the least (first light flashing). Was this due to my USB wall charger or a defective unit? This is a problem for me because I can't change the battery on this thing constantly and was quite excited about the fact that I could charge this through the microusb port instead.

On a side note I am noticing that the atomizer is changing from 0.4 to 0.3 randomly. From what I have read previously, 'this happens, oh well - deal with it' no biggie in my book, not a big jump - just wanted to note it.

Thanks for any suggestions here, I would apprecieate any insight that can be provided and ANYTHING that can keep me from having to ship this right back to the manufacturer. :(

I doubt it's a defective unit if your Nitecore charger is indicating it's a dead battery , i don't think your device caused it but i'm no expert , sounds like you got a dud battery .

I use the USB feature to charge mine , i have the iPV 35 watt and use a Sony VTC5 in a wall outlet as well , mine charges fast and when done the battery's always charged fully so i would try again with a known good battery and if that one doesn't charge then you know somethings wrong with the unit .

Sounds good Herb, solid point. I am using my other VTC5 on it and will use the same charging setup today and see if that fixes the issue. Hopefully the battery is the issue because spending $10 on a battery is alot easier for me than sending this unit back for another. :p The Nitecore charger is actually STILL charging this battery (almost done though) so it was barely even charged by the USB over the 5-6 hours it was plugged in.

I will update later if the USB charger fully charges this new battery. If that doesn't do it - then I will use a different USB charger (one for my phone or something) before declaring the device defective. I mainly wanted to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong. The main concern was the fact that it did not give me the 10w default mode that some others have mentioned. Granted - I am new to regulated devices coming from a mech mod, so I may just be behind on this learning curve. Only other thing I have noticed is that if this thing takes a hit in the least (even easily) it seems to do the 'auto-shutoff' thing quite easily....annoying, but not a nail in the coffin for me.

I got the IPV already down to about 80% with my current use today so I am actually going to go ahead and plug this into the charger and see what happens over the next few hours so that I can update this faster than once a day.

One other thing that a lot of people dont take into consideration with USB wall chargers is that all of them charge at a different amp rate, I have one cheap one from china that I can leave my IPV on all day to charge, but the one that came with my Samsung tablet charges it in a few hours.
Not saying that's what is happening to you, just thought it was worth mentioning.

It really depends on how much current the USB charging circuitry takes from the supplied input power supply. You could put a 100A power supply on the IPV2 and it will only draw what is allowed by design. If it doesn't limit the current then there is something very wrong but I highly doubt that is the case as even the most inexpensive ego chargers limit the current to 500mA. Not saying that the samsung charger is not better as some wall warts are better than others and if you have a low current wall wart (sub 500mA) then yes you will see a major difference in charging time.

I just cut my j-wrap around the touch sensor..any leaks on it cause it to fire, and a quick wipe doesn't stop it.

And I did that as I was typing this out... seems that the touch sensor is f....d now... continually firing..since it hasn't been a month, I guess I'll contact asmodous...better remember to include the card.lol.

Edit- maybe not... I'm sure some liquid has gotten into internals. They should replace ours with the 2s..well...it just auto-fired.. haven't touched it for a minute. Lol.

This was happening to mine as well, I would have to unscrew the atty and let it auto shut off. I eventually just gave up and turned the touch fire sensor off. It was a cool feature but not why I bought the iPV2 so I'm not to butthurt about it.

It was 99 cent wall charger that I ordered 10 of just to have around, it doesn't charge nearly as well as other chargers. It can't even keep up with charging my phone when I'm listening to Pandora.

I used the USB charger that I used last night on my PS4 and it charged it from the 80% to full in not too long actually. If I had to presume it is mainly related to the regulation of the wall adapter that I used last night. It just shocked me that my battery was basically registering as dead after being charged all night.

One other question for everybody here that has some experience with the IPV (or other regulated devices), what is the best indicator for when to charge the battery/swap it out? I have been using mechs the whole time and always used my judgement as to when the vapor drops out some to swap the battery - but with a regulated device I do not get that luxury. Is the 'check battery' indication the best indicator? I do not want to risk damaging any of my batteries or device.

Does it still auto-fire with the touch sensor disabled? This may sound stupid but if you think juice in the device is the culprit, can you put it in rice like a cell phone when you get water in it? May be better to try that than use your warranty card up.
