It IS NOT listed in paragraph's 3&4. They simply changed how the warranty is written on their site, today, that is DEFINITELY illegal! They just now changed the terms of the warranty to suit their needs, which is strictly forbidden in the law!!!!!

They never read the laws, and if they did they sure as hell don't understand them!!! By the way, asMODus's name is the one on the warranty card, so they ARE the ones responsible.

I am going to be contacting a lawyer and the AG tomorrow and sending them all the information, including the fact that asMODus just now changed the wording on the warranty (and then posted it publicly online, they can't deny they broke the law now!)
If you need it i have a capture of the "original" warranty :

And the "revised "warranty" :

Proof that they are full of [emoji90] !
Pretty shifty of them...
I've sent these images to P4U also, but they don't seem to care about customers after they've gotten our money, as they wont reply. [emoji389] [emoji627]

Considering this crappy move by asMODus, has anyone who bought from elev8 contacted them regarding this move to see what they will do about it regarding they had posted that they would take care of warranty for the product?
I Purchased mine from them, but like a big dummy sent it straight to asmodus! I informed them of this and they were as suprised as I was about the fiasco! Had I sent it to them I would not have had to go through the "extotion" process... They are adhering to the original warranty. They have no part in the mess.

I have both of those screen shots as well, along with my actual warranty card(which matches the first, unchanged, screen shot)

Just to update everyone, I got called onto work super early today and just now got home. This means I did not have a chance to get anything done today on this matter. I have tomorrow off, unless I get called in again, and will be focusing my time on getting this done then.

Your wording is throwing me off a bit. You sent it to asmodous, but you can send it to elev8vape?

Yes, I should have. But read warranty card and figured this was the same... Boy was I wrong! Go through elev8 vape if you purchased from them.

I guess the IPV3 people will fall under the revised warranty. As a future new owner I will be fine with knowing that shipping both directions is my responsibility. Had I not known that prior to a problem I would be ...... as well.

Yes that is the exact issue at play here.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with rewriting a warranty for unreleased, unsold devices. You can rewrite an extended warranty before you sell it to someone as well.

There is everything wrong, immoral, and illegal with rewriting a warranty once you already sold a device to someone and they already have the terms of warranty. It is locked in stone at that point.

The terms of the warranty have to be clear, tell of what the customer is responsible for (ex. paying for shipping to asMODus, which WAS listed in the original warranty).
It also has to list the things that the manufacturer/warranty handler won't be responsible to pay for (this is where they would have to say asMODus won't pay for return shipping, which was NOT listed in the original warranty).

There are magnet upgrades for the case. Idk where online but local shops by me do it.

Just a heads up, a few weeks ago I contacted Pioneer4You about upgrading from screws to magnets.

They specifically told me that doing so would void the warranty. They went on to clarify that any alterations (excluding a wrap/cover) would void the warranty (even if one never removes the Quality Control seal).

Don't know if you even care about this information, but I am providing it. I am sure that others that see your post would want to know that switching to magnets effectively voids their warranties.

I'm curious for the person that's being required to pay shipping both ways for warentee issues on their ipv2, how much is the shipping charges exactly? And is that all you have to pay for the repair of your unit? I have the ipv2 myself and never had a single issue so I've went ahead and pre ordered the ipv3 150. Now I'm questioning if that 2 as such a good idea...when I'm listening to what you all are saying regarding customer support I'm now nervous about my purchase of the ipv3...well what's done is done now. I just hope I get a good one without any issues. I'm pretty up set that they say you can only turn it in ONE time!! A year warranty is just that, a year, no matter how many issues arise. I thought they would have better customer service than that!!

I'm thinking they often pay shipping at least for some people, because I've been begging to send it to them and pay shipping just so they'll look at it, and they keep asking for videos before accepting it's a warranty repair, which makes me think they're used to paying the shipping for mods that aren't always broken.

Here's my backstory:

I messed up and preordered mine from Israel before the IPV2 was available in the US for preorder or being talked about on the forums. The vendor seems to be being helpful, part of my problem was that after I first contacted them and they gave me a date on a replacement unit arriving to ship me, they emailed me asking for a second video and it sat in my spam folder a few weeks. It was a request to make a second video, showing atomizers working on a different mod, me screwing and unscrewing the RDA to make sure it was tight, and it firing on one mod, not firing right on the IPV2 and then back on the good mod (my authentic DNA 30 box mod is what I used)

Once I found that, I left work and went and got what I would need ( I bought a hexohm to get me by and that's my daily driver now but I need something with an LED to demonstrate the problem) then came back and recorded a 6 minute video of the RDA on the ohm meter, firing fine on my custom mod, the IPV 2 irratic readings, back to the ohm meter then back to the DNA to work fine. Video was 6 minutes and a real ..... to get it all right and keep it short, had to burn myself a few times of course in my hurry.

The vendor replied a few days after I sent that, they said they needed another video, all one file and unedited with three different RDA's working on both mods and me adjusting the 510 connection to different lengths in the video for the 3 RDA's and a couple other requests.

All this time I've been begging to send it to them and pay shipping all ways, hell I really just wanted my IPV 2 when it first happened.

After that last email I was talking to an awesome US vendor friend of mine, and he said "why not just use the pamphlet in the box to warranty claim it". I felt like an idiot, and I decided to go that route, it just directed me to their website really. So I copied every email address on the site and sent it to them.

I'm really hoping they'll make it right because I loved the lil mod, it just happened to have a bad chip and when I fire a 1 ohm coil, it says .3 on one fire at like 4 volts, then when I let off the next time I fire it, the mod says 1.7 ohms and fires at like 8 volts, nearly blows the coils off lol, its gross and scary.

All that being said, I preordered the IPV 3 because the godmod is showing being so far away according to the vendors I used, and I liked the IPV 2 so much and understand there will be problems sometimes, and am happy overall as long as a company fixes those problems.

The shipping cost is not outlandish , it's the changing the terms at will which is the problem . If Asmodus says they don't care about any laws and will make the customer pay both ways if they feel like it (which is essentially what they said) who's to say they won't make an announcement in the future stating that they don't feel like abiding by the one year warranty promise.

They would like to change it to a three month warranty instead (they haven't claimed that but don't be surprised) . They said they are providing warranty service out of the goodness of their heart since P4U doesn't pay them in any way , (which i find not believable) .

That being the case they can do whatever they feel like and thats how they are standing up to criticism's.
