I'm curious for the person that's being required to pay shipping both ways for warentee issues on their ipv2, how much is the shipping charges exactly? And is that all you have to pay for the repair of your unit? I have the ipv2 myself and never had a single issue so I've went ahead and pre ordered the ipv3 150. Now I'm questioning if that 2 as such a good idea...when I'm listening to what you all are saying regarding customer support I'm now nervous about my purchase of the ipv3...well what's done is done now. I just hope I get a good one without any issues. I'm pretty up set that they say you can only turn it in ONE time!! A year warranty is just that, a year, no matter how many issues arise. I thought they would have better customer service than that!!
I'm thinking they often pay shipping at least for some people, because I've been begging to send it to them and pay shipping just so they'll look at it, and they keep asking for videos before accepting it's a warranty repair, which makes me think they're used to paying the shipping for mods that aren't always broken.
Here's my backstory:
I messed up and preordered mine from Israel before the IPV2 was available in the US for preorder or being talked about on the forums. The vendor seems to be being helpful, part of my problem was that after I first contacted them and they gave me a date on a replacement unit arriving to ship me, they emailed me asking for a second video and it sat in my spam folder a few weeks. It was a request to make a second video, showing atomizers working on a different mod, me screwing and unscrewing the RDA to make sure it was tight, and it firing on one mod, not firing right on the IPV2 and then back on the good mod (my authentic DNA 30 box mod is what I used)
Once I found that, I left work and went and got what I would need ( I bought a hexohm to get me by and that's my daily driver now but I need something with an LED to demonstrate the problem) then came back and recorded a 6 minute video of the RDA on the ohm meter, firing fine on my custom mod, the IPV 2 irratic readings, back to the ohm meter then back to the DNA to work fine. Video was 6 minutes and a real ..... to get it all right and keep it short, had to burn myself a few times of course in my hurry.
The vendor replied a few days after I sent that, they said they needed another video, all one file and unedited with three different RDA's working on both mods and me adjusting the 510 connection to different lengths in the video for the 3 RDA's and a couple other requests.
All this time I've been begging to send it to them and pay shipping all ways, hell I really just wanted my IPV 2 when it first happened.
After that last email I was talking to an awesome US vendor friend of mine, and he said "why not just use the pamphlet in the box to warranty claim it". I felt like an idiot, and I decided to go that route, it just directed me to their website really. So I copied every email address on the site and sent it to them.
I'm really hoping they'll make it right because I loved the lil mod, it just happened to have a bad chip and when I fire a 1 ohm coil, it says .3 on one fire at like 4 volts, then when I let off the next time I fire it, the mod says 1.7 ohms and fires at like 8 volts, nearly blows the coils off lol, its gross and scary.
All that being said, I preordered the IPV 3 because the godmod is showing being so far away according to the vendors I used, and I liked the IPV 2 so much and understand there will be problems sometimes, and am happy overall as long as a company fixes those problems.
