This is the link I found although it has a lot of ngative, it seems to have some sort of quasi support for e cigs
http://publichealthlawcenter.org/sites/default/files/resources/tclc-guide-regecigs-2011.pdf
I'd have to read that to determine if there as any indication that they have "changed their position" on electronic cigarettes.

But having said that, remember that the questions come from the following places...
--The Media and General News subforum
--The Legislative News subforum
--CASAA website
--Information from the second post in this thread

So if it is a "technically correct" answer, any links to show it is a correct answer would have to come from one of those places.

Okay, after reading that thread, and the linked document, I have made the final ruling...

The Tobacco Legal Control Consortium does not really show any support for electronic cigarettes within that document, and the only remotely positive thing they have to say within the entire document is the following...

While proponents of e-cigarettes, including some in the public health community, view them as less hazardous alternatives to combustible cigarettes, others see them as gateway products to tobacco abuse and nicotine addiction and support their restriction or even removal from the market.

The vast majority of the document is a restatement of all the well-known bogus arguments made by anti-electronic cigarette people, and the rest of the document instructs poeple on how to screw us over as much as possible. So the only real "support" this group appears to have for electronic cigarettes is by devoting an entire document to discussing how to regulate them effectively. And even if this were to be considered "support" there is no indication that there has been any kind of change in position towards electronic cigarettes.

So, sorry Spartan, but I'm gonna have to give that one a thumbs down.
But on the bright side, it looks like you might be the only one playing next time!!

Okay, Sharpi, I will work with you on your prize and will send you a PM shortly.
I will also send a PM to IThrenodyI shortly, and copy CES so we can work out your prize as well.

This contest period is over, and the next question will no longer be asked.
Instead, a new thread will be posted here announcing the next contest period, and when the first question will be asked.

I will probably post that thread no later than Wednesday.
:)

The part I was talking about was them stating that further scientific studies need to be done before any rulings can be made towards e cigs. IMO anything with actual facts to back it up is positive, whether in our favor or not. This would be a lot easier if my internet was working properly, lol.

Either way, IT got the correct answer and deserves to win. Congratulation!

YaY, thanks DC!!
Now I just have to figure out who CES is so I can thank them, too! :D

Congratulations Sharpie and IThrenodyl! You gals did great!

Also DC2, not only was this contest very nice, the best part was you actually had to work to win, as opposed too just having your name picked out of a hat. Those are cool to but this was more fun and informative to boot!

I'm looking forward to the next one and even though ideally, competing alone would be best for me, for the sake of spreading the good word, I hope more people check it out.
