I don't know Darrigaaz, I do know that when I have edited posts on other threads, if I do it before ever leaving the page, there is no edit info.....On my test, it shows the edit, but I did leave the thread to go to other threads.....now if it stays open on said thread in another tab, I wonder if the edit info shows......besides the fact that this whole site has been kinda crazy lately.

All I do know is that the first time I saw this there was a lot more to it.....

But at any rate......it's all been cleared up....hopefully no further hard feelings.....I'm ready to smile and laugh again at every post I go into.......

Happy thoughts.....hugs.......and lots of puppy kisses.....MUAH!!! dog_kisses-141.jpg

So what I decided to do was go on FB and look up Vapor 4 Life, and I can not tell if it is actually V4L or if it is this guy. It is a very unclear thing.

I don't do FB, so I don't even know if V4L has an FB page. The staff can certainly look into it if there is anything fraudulent or fishy going on.

I'm curious to know where you see that the OP edited his OP. Doesn't it usually indicate that a post has been edited with a little message on the bottom of the post. I don't see that on the OP....is it possible to edit without that message showing up? Please help me understand what you were referring to.

Yes. Easily. I also knew he had edited it, but because it no longer says what his original entire post said, capice?

I'm not revisiting the issue, I'm just curious about the editing comment. You seemed to agree that the original message had been edited. Maybe you can help me see how you can tell it was edited. I'm really curious.

See Darrigaaz's posts, quoted for your convenience below.

Test post for purpose of finding out if somebody can edit without showing "edited".

Edit #1: This is the 1st edit.

Edit #2: This is the 2nd edit.

Edit #3: This is the 3rd edit, and I'm putting a "Reason for Editing:"

Edit #4: This is the 4th edit, and I'm removing a "Reason for Editing:"

Edit #5: It looks like it only gives the small text showing "Last edited by <insertnamehere>; Today at <inserttimehere>." whenever I put something into the "Reason for Editing:" section.

Quoting to confirm for 2nd edit.

Edit #2: I've logged out and back in to see if it shows an edit on this post.

Edit #3: It does show an edit time now that I've logged off and logged back on.

Conclusion: It is possible to edit your original post without it giving any indication that any editing has been done.

Also, posting to confirm that there was a LOT more to the original post when I first replied.

Curiosity now satisfied?

Oh, and speaking of curiosity, perhaps you'd like to know that your boy Wily, while indeed a most infrequent poster, uses both MF batts and MF cartos. As any cursory review of his handful of ECF posts immediately reveals. Thus, I was accurate to say he is a Bloog customer; thus, there was and is no need for me to make any "correction" to my description of him as such.

We can all now judge for ourselves Jayvap's concern for veracity. I myself am a completely truthful person. I can obviously make mistakes, but I did not appreciate your insinuation yesterday that I was being dishonest about Wily's PV equipment. I accept your apology in advance.

Yes, as I stated in my post above (#57, quoted below), my curiosity was satisfied by the kind response from Keelalagirl. It seems I have upset you with my pretty straight-forward and sincere question.

Got it, thanks for your nice response. I've never tried to edit a thread either, only individual posts, so yeah, I don't know how that works. It's all good!

Eleanor, I owe no apologies to someone who will not address me respectfully. At least to me, your statement seems to be dripping with sarcasm, and it doesn’t come across as really wanting to have an adult discussion about a possible misunderstanding.

I never said you were dishonest, I said I thought calling wilydodger (who is also not "your boy Wily") a Blooger was inaccurate because he had a total of nine posts and not one of them was in the Bloog sub-forum. I did not read the individual posts at that time, but I did read them this evening. As you put it, "any cursory review of his handful of ECF posts" immediately reveals he is as clearly a V4L customer as he is a Bloog customer. But you failed to mention that even in this latest post. So to call him a Blooger still seems like an inaccurate characterization. Calling him a Blooger and a V4Ler I would agree with. Funny thing is, he complained about both companies.

I have to agree with Clover’s post below:

why cant we be friends why cant we be friends? that song keeps playing in my head about all this! lol We're all on the same side, just use different equipment! Love people! love love love!

It’s all good.

Yes, as Wily was *itching about the absence of his favorite juice in the face of another great V4L sale, he is obviously a V4Ler. And a he is Blooger. He is both. As am I. As is Starsong. As is Frick. As are numerous other vapers.

I'm sorry, I fail to understand this odd sensitivity/objection to a common form of consumer identification. Perhaps you don't like the B Company's name? Well, there's nothing I can do about that. Their company, their name. (I agree that the substitution of "booger" is kind of obnoxious, and I never do it, even though analog finds it funny -- must be a guy thing, kinda like fart jokes.)

"Your boy Wily" was meant to be wry, not sarcastic. Perhaps not much difference in your book. Not everyone likes wry, just as not everyone likes Woody Allen movies. (Shrugs.)

As for your inability to apologize for false insinuations . . . I'll live. Quite happily. You're just another member of the species, revealing a not uncommon inability to simply admit she was wrong.
