Passthru problem

Ms. Nancy that could be one of two things... An issue with the adapter or with the cigarette lighter port itself... Possibly a blown fuse...
mmc...the auto charger works but are you talking about that or the passthru ? does the passthru need to warm up ?
The pt pulls more amps Ms. Nancy than the charger... That sounds like the adapter might be the culprit....

Please look at the back of the auto charger and tell us what it says. Also some cars and some auto chargers just don't play well together can you try it in another car? . From what I understand..there are 2 fuses involved, so see if you or someone else can check them (maybe if only one is working you get redused power..who knows?)

As for your PT/car problem, I'm sorry, but I'm totally useless with all things electronic-mechanical-techno. (I took my degree in Philosophy, and I know how to change a light bulb.) Hope you get it worked out!
+1 Keyzy......Waylon your first sentence says it all, works on the laptop......pt works. See if you can plug your 12v adapter into a friends car along with your p/t and give that a test. This will determine if the issue is with your car or the 12v adapter.

I had a similar problem, mine turned out to be a blown fuse in the car - caused by a cheapie adapter. V4L one works fine. Does you car lighter work?
I can't understand why some people's PTs take time to warm up in the car, mine works straight away. Why would that vary?

All : thanks for help .Morandir answered it .Its my adaptor .Too low .Must buy the one from v4life ...its only 9.95 ....See Morandirs post ..it pulls more current then the charger .

Morandir has it right...you need a car adapter that supplies 2 Amps for the PT to function properly. The V4L Car Adapter is rated at 2 Amps.
