My auto charger takes about 5-8 minutes to light up. Then works like a charm. Maybe your not waiting long enough? I thought mine didn't work at first as well, but I wasn't giving it enough time to warm up.

mmc...the auto charger works but are you talking about that or the passthru ? does the passthru need to warm up ?

Please look at the back of the auto charger and tell us what it says. Also some cars and some auto chargers just don't play well together can you try it in another car? . From what I understand..there are 2 fuses involved, so see if you or someone else can check them (maybe if only one is working you get redused power..who knows?)
I have one charger that works with a passthru and one that doesn't..weird.

Thanks for the pic, Nancy! He's GORGEOUS!

As for your PT/car problem, I'm sorry, but I'm totally useless with all things electronic-mechanical-techno. (I took my degree in Philosophy, and I know how to change a light bulb.) Hope you get it worked out!

That is a lovely cat, and you know I'm partial to cat avatars.

I had a similar problem, mine turned out to be a blown fuse in the car - caused by a cheapie adapter. V4L one works fine. Does you car lighter work?

I can't understand why some people's PTs take time to warm up in the car, mine works straight away. Why would that vary?
