I just received a patriot style dripping atomizer. I built a coil and ohms are good at 1.5. Dripped some liquid. But when I try to vape it it is really harsh and hurts my lungs. With hardly any vapor.

I can take way longer draws from my ego with a kanger pro tank 2 and get way more vapor.

Do I just need to drill the air hole bigger? What's the problem here? I'm using the same juice.

Pics of your build will help.

Sounds like hot spots. Air hole positioning will cause a little of what you describe, but toots that harsh have always been due to coil issues in my experience. If you take the cap off and fire it, do you see any part of the coil glowing red? If so, that will be your culprit. A coil with a wet wick should not visibly glow.

Damn I was gonna say the nic level maybe too high. Mine was the same though. Drill the air holes out to 3/32 that should solve the issue for you

I rebuilt my coil to a 1.1 ohm single and drilled the hole 3/32 like you said and all is well now. Thank you for your help!
