Sorry, i don't know where else to put this thread but last night i attempted to charge my PCC with a battery in, in the hope that the PCC would charge the battery at the same time as being charged itself. I pressed and held the button for 2s and it looked like it was working...but today i have realised it hasn't! Oops! Thank goodness for my back-up! I was ready to hit someone (48hours analogue free!) until i realised and swapped batteries.

Is there a way to make it work?!x

While no experience with a PCC, i would think the device has internal switching to limit this action, as it could be seen by the device as a short circuit and possibly ruin something.
the battery pulling from the battery while the sensor is trying to determine when to shut off the pcc charging circuit and could possible cause the pcc to overcharge itself, thereby damaging the battery or circuitry inside or shortening the life span of the device..........

just a guess.

i would say just use a separate wallwart/usb charger for the batt itself, probably safer that way

I know mine charges both at the same time. It just takes la little longer to fully charge the PCC. I usually charge a battery this way before going to bed.

I've had the same issue you mentioned but couldn't figure out if it was something I did wrong or a glitch with the PCC. I'd say wait a couple minutes after plugging it in and double check that both the PCC and battery level indicators are showing that both are in the process of being charged. Since I started doing this I always wake up to a fully charged battery :)

good to know - it may be a case of you need to plug the PCC in first then wait a minute or two b4 adding the battery as well.

Furthermore... PCC is green (charged), plugged in, you screw in a fully depleted batt and the PCC indicator changes to red after a while... Meaning the batt is charging from the internal battery, and the internal battery charges from the USB.
