Pen cart fit

My first kit carts fit nice and tight. On the same order I purchased extra carts and the fit nice and tight also. I also noticed that the carts that I ordered were made of a softer rubber instead of the hard plastic.

I just received another order of stuff that included 5 boxes of carts, all hard plastic and I checked a couple and they didn't fit tight like the original order.

It's not a show stopper, but an issue non the less. I have put black tape to keep it in there tight.

Anyone know if there is some consistency out there?

BTW, all came from Puresmoker, if that makes a difference.

Man, I would love to find those soft rubber carts again.

Try this as a fix posted by Belowme a few hours ago---

Hi ALL,

For those of you guys, or gals that have had your cartridge slip out easily, I have found a quick fix.

The problem is that the atomizer is a little too wide and the cartridge is just a little bit too small. Also, liquid seeps into the two while you inhale which makes it slippery and easy to come off.

What you need:

1 lighter

1 Sewing Needle

"All you have to do is heat up the tip of the needle until it is red hot and quickly melt (a little) onto the part of the cart that connects to the atomizer.

I do it vertically on 4 sides. Try your best to make it evenly spaced but it doesn't matter too much. The point is to make 4 ridges. After you do that, the cart should snap in pretty tight and fit very snug.

I hope this helps because I have had the cart fly off on me many times, luckily on my carpet or else it would have been pretty bad.

Good Luck and I hope this info helps my fellow e-ciggers :thumb:"

Worked for me--Sun

I have used Johnson Creek and Puresmoker blank cartridges and have run into this problem with the loose fit on some and not with others--seems that it goes to the atomizer and not the cartridges as the same cartridge will fit tight in some of my atomizers and very loose in others?? What ever the problem is, this fix is working--Sun

I received an order with the rubber mouth pieces as well, and I remove them from the cart before I toss them. They don't fit as well onto the cartridges with the hard plastic mouthpieces but I just make do or put a small piece of tape around the cartridge body before I put the rubber mouthpiece on.

I love the softer mouthpieces. :)

What I do is not toss the soft ones... I take out the wool (and re-use it but that's another story), and when I get a cart that doesn't fit (I get a lot that are too big, not too small, actually...) I simply take the full filling out of that one and put it into the soft-mouth cartridge I saved earlier. Then tip over any left-behind liquid from the new hard cart onto the wool I just replaced; and that's it. No lighter needed for this one; but tweezers are a handy tool for this to be sure :D
