Just bought a Penny mod yesterday. At first it worked just fine. I'm using a magma paradigm rda and I adjusted the posts so that it takes a full push it fire. I had it in safety mode sitting beside me and I heard it fire. I immediately took the battery out, tried adjusting the posts again in slight increments so that it barely makes contact when the button is pushed. Same thing. It started firing in safety mode. Now I'm afraid to use it. Any suggestions? Thanks.

It sounds like the pin in the firing switch is getting stuck when it fires. You might want to take switch apart and clean the bleep out of it. Copper tends to build patina, residue, etc....and Penny mod is all copper. Just take the switch apart and clean the threads etc. When you assemble the firing switch back, make sure the firing pin isn't too far up and when you fire and let go, the pin goes back down without getting stuck.

Thanks. That does sound like a reasonable explanation. It's scary to have it fire in the safety position.

Been there too with auto firing with some of my previous mods, you'll learn what to look for if you continue with mechs. Some times you have to teak a little bit etc to get them right.
BTW, there are magnet upgrades for you penny mod firing switch, if you google for them.

I found the problem. It was a small rough edge at the top of the pin, almost like it wasn't completely cleaned out of the mold that was used to make it. I sanded it down and now it's perfect. Thanks or the info. I'm going to check out the magnet upgrades.
