I've got a tentative campaigning idea rattling around in the old brain, and am posting here to get the widest possible exposure. I'm looking for anyone who is affected by the negative health effects of smoking to participate.
I would be creating a video featuring images of those suffering from COPD, emphysema, cancer, and so on. Children who are suffering from second-hand smoke would be acceptable as well.
I would ask you to submit:
- A photo (or video) of your face
- Name
- Age
- Condition
- Smoking history (x packs/day for y years)
- Release to use submitted media (in the case of a child, parent/guardian consent) [I'm not sure of the legal requirements here, but probably the best way would be to release the image under a public domain type license, such as GNU]
I would compile the images and video (tagged with the appropriate information) into a short advertisement, with a narration over it. If anyone is interested, please post here or PM me.
