Timothy - It's all been bottles of DEKANG juices. And BTW I never had the perfume taste from any juice I received from V4L, and only the Red Bull Carto's I received from V4L had the perfume taste. However lately there have been too many complaints about it for it to be ignored. The perfume tatse/smell or whatever people are experiencing is not supposed to be there. Someone needs to try to find out where it is coming from....that's what I want to know.

The frustrating thing is in all my QA testing since I've been here, I have only found the perfumy taste a couple of times, and I had those batches remade. I thought I had identified the cause and corrected it, but perhaps not. Or perhaps the current complaints are still coming from carts from prior batches. Or perhaps it is something that develops in the carts over time. Or, or, or, or... ARRGL.

leaford - Maybe I missed it but what was the cause? If you have identified the cause and had it corrected, then the complaints could very well be the result of prior batches. I doubt the perfumy taste develops in carts on its own. Thanks for staying on top of it...hope all is well with you and Mike...:)

Well, I can't go into detail, but I found the perfumey taste in one strength of a couple of flavors, but not in the other strengths of those flavors, and only in the filled carts, not in liquid sampled straight from the jug. So I concentrated on something that I saw as a weakness in the handling procedures, got temporary corrective measures implemented, and permanent upgrades approved by the factory owner for after CNY. And I haven't found the perfumey taste in filled carts since.

If and when you notice a flavor issue it is a good idea to note the date of manufacture, the flavor and the nic level and pm that info to Leaford. With this info he can track what batch it is and look into it. The list posted of the flavors that contain this rose flavor seems way off to me as I have a number of these flavors and don't taste it. I did get one flavor about a month and a half ago that had it and could not stand it. I'm pretty sure Leaf fixed the problem then as I have not had it since. I would notice it right off the bat if I found it again.

The date of manufacture is stamped in very small numbers on the metal where the battery screws to the cart in the center section. You will need a magnifying glass to see it.

To whoever posted that they couldn't vape the butterscotch....send it all to me... I love it! Best flavor I have tasted!

To whoever posted that they have a problem with replies from emails sent to V4L I have heard there seems to be a problem with email lately and that must be why you haven't heard from them. They are awesome about getting back to anyone who has an issue and I suggest that you message them with a pm through here to insure they are getting your complaint. I honestly would love to see photos of any location in the United States to compare their lab with the pics Leaf sent from the lab that V4L gets their juice from. Amazing cleanliness!

I'm sorry that I didn't get the names for the above people but this thread is longer than my short term memory.

That's good enough for me leaford...pretty sure I know what the cause was now...lol. Thanks...it's reassuring to know you took care of it.

candy sampler=24 mg (all have the smell and bad taste)
alomand-choco-coco---2009 12
dark chocolate---2009 12

when i recived the last shipment last wensday all boxes had the smell to them when i opened the usps package.
i have taken all of them out of the boxes to air out and the coffie sampler seems fine.
the pineapple was ok straite out of the box.
the candy sampler has been out of the box and condoms removed since wed. night still has the smell and taste in all of them.

the 2 freebies

on my first order included with my vapor king the cowboy 18 mg had the smell to them but the 555's 18 mg did not both of these are marked 2009 12.

I don't understand this; those are all new carts, and none of them had a perfumey taste to me. And lots of other people have raved about some of those flavors, especially the butterscotch.

PG has a taste and odor of its own, it gets annoying to me when I'm vaping heavily and it gets in my mustache. Maybe that's what you're noticing.

I had the same issue with the candy sampler. The Bscotch only had the flavor for a few vapes (7-10) and then it was gone and it was delicious, my new fav. However the Red Hot, Almond Choco and Dark Choc were overwhelming. I tried to let them air out for 3 days, tried to vape through it and it never dissipated. I decided to wash them and fill with RY4, since it is a strong flavor, but I could still taste the perfume. I would look at the dates but I ended up throwing them away. I figured they would always taste bad. I am not complaining either, just hoping to help get it resolved. The Carmel was a dud so I don't know if it had the flavor. I am not even looking for replacements. I just hope to never have to taste that taste again. I also bought a few other new flavors, so I know they were new carts, and they were fine. Seems very random which will make it hard to track down.

Leaford, why can't you go into detail? I'd certainly like to know what the perfume taste is that I'm sucking into my lungs, especially if it's a handling issue. I think we all have a right to know.
