Is iT just me, or are the flavours weak, in comparison with Capella and especially Fa?

I did some quick calculations:

Based on 26 dollars I can by 16oz (roughly 500ml) of PA flavoring using it at 10%, it will flavor approx 5 liters of juice.

At the same amount 26 dollars I can buy 4 13ml bottles from capella, at 10% , it will flavor approx 500ml of juice.

At the same amount 26 dollars I can buy 4 5ml bottles from FA, at 2% , it will flavor approx 1 liter of juice.

So I would say lindas even at 20% would still be more cost effective.

Ah, but kemosabe, me no lookee at ze price, me looking at ze reduction of POW of ze liquid.

The reason for asking some of my complex mixes cannot withstand 20% of one flavouring. I found them all weak. Some like to stretch their dollar and there is nothing wrong with that, me, I wan't performance, if that makes sense.

It makes sense, but I am happy at 10% I do not need more than that. I like FA as they are good flavors and do a reasonable amount of juice. Capella on the other hand I will not buy, they are not that great as far as the price is concerned. I would rather stick with Lorann/FA/PA flavoring. So I suppose it depends on the persons taste and their need for flavor. I think FA would be the way to go for insane flavor IMHO.

Some are weak, like the milk chocolate (hard to mix with peanut butter) and blueberry is also very subtle, but still one of my favorites to mix.

Some of her flavors are overwhelmingly strong, like the black cherry, green apple, coffee based ones.

But to be fair, some other brands I've tried have some weak flavors. And I'm not sure what % you mix at, I usually do 10% and with some like cinnamon I do 5%. I'm not sure anyone can make a cinnamon that is weak :D

Her menthol that is already mixed is awesome. I finally succeeded in making my Mom a menthol vape with my Methol Cigs V.3, lol.

And her coconut is great, spot on. But it's more like eating real coconut and not sweet, some EM took care of that and now I need to order larger bottle.

That is pretty much what I had come up with Dan. As you, I like to stick at around 8-10%, with a maximum of 20% on complex mixes.

The reason I asked the question, when comparing flavours against flavour e.g caramel vs caramel, cherry vs cherry etc... PA's flavours are thin (not as concentrated) in comparison with FA's flavours.

Now if we were to compare cherries let's say (regardless of company, but from the same company) black cherry is used in lesser concentrations then cherry perse.

Why is this information important, because one cannot duplicate some one elses recipe unless they are using the same flavouring. It might be close, but will always be off.

This was evident of late in my RY5 recipe where PA caramel and bavarian cream where used vice Fa. The difference, night and day.

Agreed Switch :)

PA's caramel is more like Maple to me and that caused a problem when mixed with apple. And no to companies flavors are alike. Candy caramel is more like a caramel, bu still not exact.

In some flavors I like it a bit stronger, and some a little milder. And I have to admit I've never tried FA, but I sure would love too. Seems quite a bit of people around here love their flavors.

Another thing I found out when experimenting with different cherry flavors (black & regular). I was trying to recreate my favorite cherry vendor juice and just couldn't do it. After vaping my own stuff for about 3 weeks and then trying some of that vendor juice, there was an overwhelming taste of tobacco in it. And it tasted like cherry kool-aid when I first got it, I couldn't taste anything else, lol.

Just kinda a heads up to anyone that is trying to copy their fav vendor juice, there could be some unexpected flavors you might not pick up on!

The reason why I went to PA is because of cost like Dan has stated. $1/ml is not cost effective. I mix allot, and in large quatities, once a recipe has been tuned, It is made in 30ml batches. At 10-12% that is one bottle of Fa/recipe. I vape 3-5ml/day, sooooo... I order large to keep shipping down.

I have secured a Canadian site for LorAnns flavours that sell in large qty because LorAnns USA does not ship to Canada. I was also capable of securing Fa in large qty as well. Unfortunately I cannot release that info (Fa).

I'm still basically an infant to DIY and vaping for that matter, I only took up vaping in Feb and DIY in March after lurking here for a month, lol.

I do have to say Yourself, Dan, PureVapor & Kurt give out a lot of good advice.

Cost has been an issue, so yeah I went with PA and I tend to mix tiny batches, 3 ml or so every other day and normally I have about 2-3 3ml batches at a time and I vape about 3ml @ 16 mg a day.

I've been happy with some of LorAnn's, but the artificial color does bother me. One day, I will get some FA, lol.

Until then, my loyalty lies with what I know :p. But even with the hardware, I've started trying out things outside of my comfort zone.

And a big thanks to y'all for all the tips and knowledge.

Could it be that the other flavors are concentrates made for large batches like for cakes and pies and maybe even on the volumes of a bakery and PA is making her's pretty much for DIY users to use in smaller amounts?

I have never used any flavors besides PA so I don't know anything about other flavors.

:)

Sweet Cream- Good gosh, I don't even know what to say about this one...it's definitely not sweet, but it taste like your vaping buttermilk..:(~ I suppose this would be good mixed with a very sweet vape to tone it down but I almost threw up..
Vaping Buttermilk?.....Think I will leave that to my Pancakes MissVapor..LOL!! I am a big fan of PA's Tobacco mix and their Menthol flavoring!

Thats the same effect the cheesecake had on me...it smelled so good but vaping it was like sucking on old sweat socks. I guess vape wise I'm lactose intolerant because Capellas and Loranns does the same thing. It sucks because I love cheesecake. The Kona coffee was horrible too, even smells bad...maybe thats why it was discontinued.

On another note...I made some good Mocha tonight with 5%/15% White and Milk Chocolate with 1 drop of the regular Coffee in 3ml@ 28mg...nice

My main vape English Toffee shipped today so I hope its at least as good as Loranns.....cause I'm almost out..

Now if we could get Linda to perfect some 555 for us.:p
