I have not found that the sucralose or ethyl maltol get thet bitter taste, It's the liquid stevia that I've read about that'll do that, haven't tried it yet. Of course, I haven't tried them at ridiculous proportions. LOL
I read the same things about Stevia, and even tried some in a health food store. It was not labelled as not being bitter and it had a very nasty bitter aftertaste. Their other items did not have bottles to sample-DOH! I did get 2 packets to sample and they were good, but had extra stuff to granulize or at least carry it in, and I was not going to try to figure out how to purify it into liquid.
I just bought some "Better Stevia" made by NOW Foods. No Alcohol, No bitter aftertaste. 8 fl. oz. for $14.00 (plus shipping-bought other items too) online. (I wonder if I'll get a decade of use out of it!) I was afraid that it would taste like cedar like others have written about, but that is not the case.
There is a little something that is not the same as the Splenda, but for the price difference I don't care.
In my little 7ml or 10ml bottle 4 drops is too much and all of the PA flavors taste almost the same!
But at 3 drops not a problem
3 drops is just enough for my morning mug of tea!
PS. The cap is the only thing bad about it, The hole in it is at least 3X's the norm, but the cap on a CVS Pharmacy Pure Glycerin fits perfectly. I just transferred some into a 10ml bottle with dropper and all is good!
Try 8% vanilla, 8% banana cream, 6% strawberry, for a nice mix. Let it steep, I recommend at least a week, before sampling![]()
Led. I tried adding 4 drops of cotton candy per ml to my juice still not sweet enough
