Rocket, I not sure about this. Why is it we feel the need to protect the stupid? Twenty years ago, if your sinuses got blocked you ran to the Walgreens and got some Sudafed and cleared it up. Now when you go to buy some Sudafed, you have to sign an affidavit stating you aren't trying to make crysmeth all in a lame attempt to try and stop some true dolt from making and using crysmeth. In nature when one of the dumbass adult wildebeests gets too close to the lions, they don't set up a document system to try and keep it alive. They let him get eaten for the benefit of the herd. Maybe it's just me but if someone is willing to take a pill made out of Drano, lye, acid, match heads, brake fluid, sudafed and ether, I say we let them and consider the gene pool a little cleaner. People who go sub ohm just to make big clouds strike me as coming from the same vein as those who get drunk and try and shoot bottle rockets out of their rectum and put the video of it on youtube. Just hope they don't breed.
I'm seeing us eventually getting to the point where everything we do will be monitored, licensed, measured, approved, and rationed out by some government bureaucrat unless more people start taking personal responsibility for their own screw-ups. Demanding "someone" do "something" about a problem usually results in a solution that nobody likes - except those that enjoy being controlled.

I much prefer taking ownership of my actions rather than living as a victim - I think that's a part of being an adult.

OK... Here is one that has been Building. It is Now an Official Pet Peeve.

People who Do Not Fill Out their "About Me" section of their ECF Profile.

You don't have to put your PIN Number and Mother's Maiden Name. But How about Something?

Anything.

But the PIN number and Maiden Name would be a nice touch!

It would.

And Including their Bank Routing Number is a Great Way to let others get to Know You.
Might be a good idea to throw a CC number in there while you're at it; after all, what if someone posts a great deal on a mod when you were offline, we could just order it for ya, wouldn't want ya to miss out......:D

I like It.

Kinda that "Doing for those what they Can't (Won't) Do for themselves" thing.

Another pet peeve of mine that has been greatly discussed on ECF.
New users ask for something simple and/or something CHEAP. And then they get bombarded with people who apparently didn't read their request.
Example being:

New Member: "I'm looking for something I can use to test all these new juices I'm buying. But, I've only got a couple of bucks to spend, and I don't have the knowledge to build coils just yet, nor do I even want to fiddle with that stuff as of now, so no RBA suggestions, please. Is there something really easy I can use to taste test my juice?"
Answer 1: "What you want is an RDA like the IGO-L."
Answer 2: "Get an RDA to test juices. Some are really easy to build."
New Member: "Thanks, but I'm not interested in building coils or anything."
Answer 3: "Yeah, but still, get a rebuildable."

Yep, this happened to me just a couple weeks ago -- I'm brand new to all this, in the New Members Forum, trying to learn, trying to figure out something that might take the place of cigarettes for me -- I need a "cigalike"! Now experienced vapers might look on those with complete disdain, but it's what I need if I'm going to quit these awful things (which is why I bought an eRoll!). Just about everyone there was being so friendly and helpful -- but one guy pops up with "I just drip into my [whatever] with a [whothehellknows]"... I was so pleased when one of the actually helpful experienced vapers came right back with "yeah, cuz that's JUST what she was asking about!"

We're all born ignorant; some just stay that way a lot longer than others. :D

mine... when experienced vapors use terms that are incorrect and pass that faulty term onto the next generation...

for example... steep ... its age, not steep we age our juice, we steep tea. There arent any solids in the juice to extract flavor from.

Sorry bk  I did that one too

Picture me standing up giving you a standing ovation! :headbang:

I've said much the same for years -- ALL drugs should be legalized, so the total f'ing imbeciles can get on with killing themselves and clearing off the planet for the rest of us! It's just more Big Nanny, and I've thought for years that Big Nanny is subverting the natural selection process, by protecting all these C.R.E.T.I.N.S from their own stupidity -- or at least, trying really hard to do that, and annoying the hell out of those of us who just want to clear up our stuffy noses!

Oddly, this is somewhat similar to what I heard from a pharmacist when I complained that this whole thing made me feel like I was doing some sort of a drug deal. She reminded me that I didn't have to sign anything or produce ID to do that kind of deal. She was right.

People who encourage new members who want to try sub ohm building without referring them to the stickied posts on safety&sub ohm vaping.

People who use the word "stinkies" makes me feel like a 10 year old when I use that term. Call them cigarettes please. Or smokes.

Sub ohm builders who proudly show the fact that they don't know about battery safety (ie-what gives cloud chasers a bad name)

When a new member comes on asking about an upgrade and are bombarded by provari posters and RDA enthusiasts.

When people start arguments on the forums over the dumbest things. (provari vs reo, provari vs vamo, PROVARI VS ANYTHING!)

When grown adults act like children (maybe that's not just with vaping >.>)

When new members state they are on a tight budget and want an upgrade and are given a 300$ mod for recommendation

When people post walls of texts with not breaks in the wall of text. That just makes my eyes hurt.

People who complain constantly about sub ohm vaping and make it seem like the scum of the community

Buying vape gear and getting no tracking information. (cmon..its 2014)

Buying vape gear and finding out a day later they are having a sale (just bad luck tbh)

Speaking of "dripping"......... IF I understand the term correctly (IF) ...... I need to yank off a top ..... or a drip tip / mouthpiece and "drip" in a few - or more drops and then put it back together and take a "hit" or maybe three and then do it all over again. This may well be a misconception - however, I see it described enough to make me simply go, "no". All that work every single time would send me up a tree!

Now ..... "IF" I have it wrong and some "equipment" ( "MODS" and all those specialty words and abbreviations DO drive me up that tree) I may be missing out. Yet, i didn't start this vaping thing to take up time - even though I seem to be here on ECF far too much - I did ' it to get away from "analog" (another one of "those words" people from new folks to seasoned know-it-alls LOVE to use far too often) cigarettes!

IF "dripping" is sooooooooooo hot WHY the neck did most articles and even my local smoke-shoppe recommend a Kanger T3S or some variation? Am I REALLY missing out because there is a "dripper" that is as easy to use and maintain as the T3S I LOVE or is all this "dripping" stuff thanks to people who put up Ta'll Tube "reviews" of stuff they say, "manufacturers sent me"?

DRIPPING" ... is it THAT special? Maybe I need to read, "Dripping 101" instead of "E-Cigs 101"?:):) <Notice the "smile" - not a "growl"!;) And don't get me started on "WHY" I should buy from "Chappy The Chinaman" and his crew!

Senile Non-Dripping Gravity-Fed Maybe Out of Touch Senile Old Man Don

See, that why you NEED a Reo! ;) See what I did there?

(PS, I think dripping is tedious and silly, too. Figured that out AFTER I bought a whole mech mod/sub-ohming/cloud chasing/hits like a beast China clone setup,)
